    ContraContradict Builder Application

Hey Contra, Overall this looks great! Daub & wattle, gradient, etc. all seem fine; I think you have a good handle on those. Here's some of the feedback I have: - The plot is a bit on the larger side, as a result, the lack of immersive details on the exterior make it seem a little bit bland...

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

Okay, I'm convinced! The mix of iron islands & river that you tried looks very nice. I think the river terrainset is used for boulders/cliffs in few enough areas (just Felwood uses it for cliffs that I'm aware of) that we can just try to update those locations. If anyone else is familiar with...

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

Made a version of the resource pack with Tham's updated terrainsets without the other textures from his dev pack. The alts are on the stone metadata (1:1-1:6) as before. However, I switched the alt & primary terrainsets for the Red Mountains and the Stormlands terrainsets, as the alt ones were...

    Probation: GevSant

Since it's been over a month and Simb hasn't been in game for a little bit, I took a look at Gev's recent houses. They all seem up to snuff, so I've gone and promoted him. Grats!

You have to ask a mod to promote you in-game Pieter (if you haven’t done so already).

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

I think the main issue I had was the shading on the edges of the texture. Maybe "bark-like" wasn't the right word, but it sort of accentuates the vertical pole-like look of the block. Our log blocks also have this shading, and it's fine there because tree trunks are usually more pole-like, but...

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

Looking nice Tham! I really like the flowstone texture. I'm not entirely sure about the stalactite texture though, it looks a bit too bark-like to me. I'm also thinking that it may not be necessarily to have a full set of blocks for both stalactites and stalagmites, particularly since these are...

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

Yes, the stone overlays will be made official once everything is set in stone (yikes), although still remaining as a separate pack, since Tham mentioned some issues with load order when integrating them into the main pack. I think the dirt overlays still need some time for everybody to use them...

Those look fantastic so far! Are they already compatible with all terrainsets using overlay?

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

I was aiming at something like this with the big river rock boulders at Wickenden. That's from a state park to the south of me, there are these huge boulders that get blanketed by moss. Lots of fun to climb all over. I'll take a look at the new textures soon!

    TerrainSet Stair/Slab/Wall/Fence Variants

Are you referring to the versions you uploaded most recently? I left some fb in the texture pack thread a few days ago; not sure if you noticed it because I think it was buried by some other comments.

    TerrainSet Stair/Slab/Wall/Fence Variants

Regarding recreating textures for common rock types: for the 11 primary regional terrainset blocks we currently have, IMO our main priority should be substituting them for textures which are as similar as possible to the previous textures in terms of hue/brightness/saturation, while being...

    TerrainSet Stair/Slab/Wall/Fence Variants

Totally agreed! (actually I mentioned it already in my proposal in the texture pack thread :) ) The only thing I'm debating is whether the region names should be kept for the primary sets (e.g. Westerlands Limestone Karst) to give an indication as to which region that stone type is predominant in.

    TerrainSet Stair/Slab/Wall/Fence Variants

I played around with using the different karst-based terrainsets for stalagtites/stalagmites and it looked super fine, but if you want to try your hand at a specific texture for those go for it!

    TerrainSet Stair/Slab/Wall/Fence Variants

Hey everyone, An update just went onto the Production server adding the promised stair/slab/wall/fence variants for terrainsets. :D Something I definitely should have done a long time ago. Since this is a fairly substantial addition, I want to set up some ground rules for updates and create a...

    ContraContradict Builder Application

Hey Contra, Awesome work on this house! The interiors are a massive improvement this time, you're definitely starting to get the hang of it. I'll jump right into some more picky feedback this time: - In the stone foundation of the house, you should use the "light stone" block rather than the...

    ContraContradict Builder Application

Hey ContraContradict, Sorry about the delay in response! I'll try to be quicker about responding in the future. I took a look at your house and it definitely seems like a good start. The exteriors are mostly fine, but the interiors need a lot of work to be up to server standards. Here's some of...

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

Looks good Tham, though I was imagining the river terrainset having something closer to the new color of the stormlands terrainset that you made, but with the new limestone texture. I'm not sure about such a drastic change in the color of the Stormlands terrainset to fit the use case at Felwood...

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

Well, people already combine cobble stairs/slabs/etc. with the terrainsets for various things - for example, the schemset rocks which we've been using for the past few years, stalactites in caves, and sometimes just ordinary cliffs (e.g. in a few places at Duskendale). This was never ideal, but...
