This allows me to have a castle that's more defensible and fits with my main inspiration for the castle Burg Giebichstein, All of this area will be completely re-terra I'm gonna try stay away from doing much to the mountains unless inf or emot want to show me how to make them like theirs for consistency :p

I’ve re-terraformed the castle area and I’m now moving onto slowly re-terra the rest of lolliston. I’ve plotted out the castle in-game, it’s still pretty similar with my inspirations but has a bit of structural inspiration from Edinburgh castle .

Hi everyone, I was online the other day and felt like I won’t return to Lolliston entirely, atleast in the next year. It’s been 3 years since I started and although I wanted it to be my crowning project, I feel like it’s time to let go.

I’m not exactly sure how to do this, i think it’d be cool if the unfinished lands were turned into Immersion builds. I can make a map of how it could be divided sometime within the next weeks if that would help. If that’s not possible I guess it could go to the orphanage. I’m chill with things being updated aslong as it keeps to my original plans to a certain extent.

The only thing I ask is if I can keep the castle to finish

p.s im sorry about the terraforming mess

Hi I quickly drew up a map to display the current state of the project and my proposal for the uncomplete land if other builders are interested in immersion builds.

So essentially the white represents the border I initially gave to the project, the green represents the areas that are 100% complete to the best of my knowledge (this includes the town and septry and everything else south of the river. The yellow represents all of the areas that are either completely untouched or partially completed, that I would like to be made into immersion builds. And finally the blue area represents the part of the project I would like to reserve for myself, so that in my free time I can chip away at the castle, and interact with the server every now and then ^_^.

Notes:
  • The southern most river starting in the mountains and then spilling out onto the Green Fork just south of Sweetwillow was never fully completed, and to my knowledge only the mouth of the river next to Sweetwillow is done.
  • For the mountain terraforming, I had originally planned to update the mountains to look more like the terraforming that infinity and emot did on their vale projects, however I only managed to flatten out the land, so they are largely intact from when I started working on them. (besides the red sand obviously)
  • For the hamlets and village in the yellow area, I am happy for them to be completed changed or removed or adapted to help any immersion build. (This goes for the field layouts too)
  • Finally Lolliston specialises in brewing so a cool immersion project could be a cute little brewery surrounded by fields and some scattered houses of the workers, otherwise I'm happy for anything to be there after being approved by mods of course.
Lolliston was a really special project to me, and that's honestly the only reason I want to keep a part of it, so if the mods are fine with this happening then try and make something cool there, I'd love to see any progress.

Honestly I never thought of it, would have been cool to add something like that. I could maybe update it, what would you have in mind? Sweetwillow is on the kings road so they definitely must have been some skirmish at least.

Some evidence of raids in the surrounding areas, whether that be burnt fields, forests, villages, or just a light plundering. There could be evidence of the townspeople camping out in the castle bailey, hiding from the Lannisters. I should imagine Tywin left the castle alone at any rate as they wouldn't be equipped to lay siege to it. Strategically, Tywin thought he was meeting Robb head on somewhere along the Green Fork, and would have been marching north quickly to try and get the jump on him. It's likely most of the sacking happened on the way back to the Crossroads. Tywin at this point hasn't learned of Jaime's capture so he might not be as inclined to just burn everything he sees, but I think there's a strong case to be made that he laid waste to the surroundings on his return march.

I don't think Sweetwillow would have got off lightly... the Kingsroad goes right through the town.

Honestly I wish I had thought of this while originally making the town, gives it a really cool feel, especially as it was previously burnt down in a dance.
I dont have much capacity to do any of these updates straight away, but I’ll think about it.

Thanks for the help!

Just to update anyone interested, I’ve started to develop some scripts for the forests. I’ve made one for the general grasslands which includes cow parsley, nettles, thistles, ferns, wild flowers, some patches of heather, and patches of bluebells.
I thought these were appropriate after doing some research into plants that grow in wet climates.
The current trees i’m intending to put in the forests are:
Alder
black poplar
Small leafed lime
Sycamore
Beach
Buckthorn

Thanks
