Ladders no longer stay in place without a block behind it. So if you remove the block the ladder vanishes. Hasn't effected those already in place so best not to touch them.

Is this also true of any other custom blocks, such as the custom carpets, custom beds, custom banners, etc.?

It appears so with carpets, banners(not our house banners), and I dont think its causing an issue with beds though they are glitched out texture wise.

Certain fences aren't connecting to each other, not sure which ones don't connect to which. This will break stuff

Going to hazard a guess that fences are connecting with fences with the same IDs, and not connecting with fences of different IDs. Should be fixable. Keep using fences as if they were connected in the meantime.
 
The WE brush tool works at a distance only by right clicking, and you can't click and drag for ex to do roads etc you have to be constantly clicking so you cant draw lines anymore you have to do a bunch of circles close together to do that.

Patches deployed to PROD:
  • Custom fences switched to 'wood' material (standard fence linking is only from like to like material in 1.12.2+ - so rock doesn't link to wood - fence_block_0 was wood, all others were rock - switched all others to be wood so that they link with each other and to standard wood fences)
  • Spawns from spawn eggs and normal eggs are suppressed
  • Farmland trampling should be disabled - it was blocked, but client still showed it happening, even though it went away once you left
  • Custom bed rendering has been fixed by pushing them back to MODEL based rendering - 1.12.2 beds are tile entities, and use a custom entity render (like chests do). The classic red vanilla bed is still wrong, as the RP doesn't include a 1.12.2-appropriate entity skin, and the block models aren't used by vanilla beds

Less of a bug more of an unintended consequence.

When you place a chest it automatically protects the area around the chest you placed and prevents people from building in that area. This is good for survival but not so much for people who are collabing on a house or castle and now one is locked out of building.

Yeah it looks like GriefPrevention perms have changed slightly, apparently an easy fix though:
In Griefprevention Plugins open config.yml and search for

Claims.AutomaticNewPlayerClaimsRadius

and set this to -1
