Planning Riverlands: Types of trees and forests

Oh that is brilliant! It also gives a possible answer to the question of what 'blackbriar' is in ASoIaF. Blackthorn essentially means the same thing, so potentially we just use them as different names for the same tree. Buckthorns also like wet areas and are a pest in areas of Ireland...

    Oldtown: Feedback and Suggestions

There is a lot of discussion of flora in the OT doc iirc, which outlines the plans for the city. Currently finishing touches to that document and the groundwork for plotting is underway, which is what the OT teams are doing with the sewers, canals, defences and terrain. That image of the facade...

Planning Riverlands: Types of trees and forests

I agree with your northern England idea for terrain style. I've actually had the idea that the Blue Fork headwaters around Sevenstreams could be an alder carr/wooded fen as to feel different from the Neck and any wetlands along the edge of the green fork. If I remember correctly there is a...

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

Thanks Tham, I'd say biome dependency might be the way to go. You shouldn't find tuna incredibly far inland and pike shouldn't be the main meal way on the coast.

Approved Project Application: House Willum by Daenerys (update/redo)

Hoi! I enjoyed reading through that application and would love to see some attention given to Willum and the Stormlands-Reach border. However, it is unclear to me what is going to happen with the Willum caves, willum4 (a small hamlet) or the village of Willum2, all of which are either not...

    Completed Application for House Hamell

The mountain border isn't that steep between the current blackwood vale and Bettley/Kyndall/Doggett and more so the border is formed by the streams of Eagles Claw. EStoop, couldn't an italianate then slowly more swiss influenced style work for that northern coast, before eventually becoming...

Block Change Request: Sedge, Horseweed Plant Additions

The sedge would be denser, more cylinder-like grass that has a dry colour regardless of biome? This could look like thatch, wicker or straw if 1 block was placed in a barrel or basket.

Could there be a river fish variant with pike? edit: And there's a huge variety of fish mentioned in AWOIAF in the Shivering sea "salmon, wolf fish, sand lances, grey skates, lampreys and other eels, whitefish, char, shark, herring, mackerel, and cod." Crab and Lobster too.

Block Change Request: Sedge, Horseweed Plant Additions

Can you link some pictures of sedge and horseweed for reference, because there are many different sedges and in fact, sedge is an identifying feature of whether a wetland is a bog or fenn?

    Block Change Request: Gold fence

Also it could be important in making shrines to the Tyroshi three headed god and for gods of the summer isles, who are implied to have temples in OT.

Block Change Request: Retexture Glazed Terracotta for Floors

Loving this idea! I don't believe they get changed at all in updates ahead of 1.16 either. That gives us 16 potential block variations to work with with maybe 64 pattern variations in a 2x2 space without mixing any two different colour blocks into the same pattern.

    Agricultural infrastructure

Most of my response is focused on northern builds. This is a brilliant point Imic makes about barns and granaries. Honestly, I regretted not putting in more granaries as soon as I finished Norrey. I only had meagre grain stores and most of them I left in drying racks in lofts (most likely the...

Block Change Request: Improving Plaster Palettes

In regards to cracks and whatnot, there is a practice beginning to be used of having terrainset to represent cracking plaster. Is this something to be endorsed or an alternative created? It is usually used as a lighter, more weathered/cracking form of the plaster around. Perhaps there could be...

    Westeroscraft 10 Year Anniversary

Battle of the blackwater would be cool but I think we'd need wildfire custom blocks and many many people. Or maybe a functioning skeleton army (CashBanks could you get the wither skeletons and archers going with a really long detection range? you managed it once before on fistfight iirc and it...

    Hello

Hey hey! Looking forward to having you on the server in future. There's so much to explore, particularly off the beaten track and hopefully we can have some more engaging aspects like PvP for guests. See you around,

    Completed House Lonmouth by Jeff

I'd be fine with seeing tests but on site after another mod approves is fine. And the stream I made in that map is only an idea/suggestion. I couldn't exactly replicate your streams and lake and ultimately its your project so that stream goes where you want it to go within Lonmouth. Have the...

    Completed House Lonmouth by Jeff

Okay, I'm going to pop in here to ask a few questions again. Wouldn't it make more sense to open up the North Eastern pass to the slayne into a valley itself, meaning that you could have a much more significant connection to the rest of the region? It would also make more sense for how the...

Approved Immersion Build - A hidden valley with a village, North of Yronwood-by Antony_Justman & Zsomiking

Resolved, it was me and I meant to complete the fix up of the terra at the time but was unable to do so. I work as an editor assisting this project, which is why I was performing terra.

Easy solution is to use your own discord tools to turn down its volume. Just right click on groovy and you can change its 'user volume' to zero. Just putting this here in case the poster did not realise that this was possible. It's not a solution to the primary issue of requests to stop...
