Brilliant rationale! You've changed my mind completely. Perhaps around the mudgate could be a possible location for plays though, rather than the South Bank? It and Fleebottom function similarly to London's Southwark
Request: Icicle/Icy vine and duckweed block
Request Type: General Addition
Try to describe all workarounds and associated issues that make it necessary to add this block in your eyes.
By having a moss-like block and duckweed-like block that depicted ice clinging to surfaces or...
Can we not have a permanent theatre but instead a temporary one, as theatres were before large companies set themselves up? We have no equivalent of the King's or Duke's Men in Westeros, who could afford to have permanent theatres maintained (we see this in Braavos though, large companies and...
I agree with Hugh Stewart on Hogg Hall here. It completely makes sense to me that the Hogg family, or at least a branch of it, settled closer to the capital after the war between the Faith and Maegor.
And the whole point was that Ser Amory was out of control and just burning, raping and...
However the issue with building style isn't so much that any individual builder is at fault but moreso that the Stormlands doesn't really have a standout building style other than gradient. Especially when it comes to the Dornish Marches.
Again its an issue with Stormlands style. There is no...
Is it okay to mention here that isn't the street of sisters (running between Rhaenys' and Visenya's hills/Baelor's and Dragonpit) meant to be 'straight as an arrow'? I've been wondering if this update of KL would fix up that issue a bit? a possible way to do so would be to include the plaza...
Can I just ask about adding maybe a little bit of stormlands pebble maybe or another form of discolouration to make the uniform block of sand a bit less vividly uniform?
definitely. The stormlands are one of the regions that are least developed in Lore, but are still productive and quite important. Its suffered from us knowing too little to give it any large settlements.
There should definitely be small settlements around the ferries South of KL. And I agree...
A cool main street! hell yeah!
This makes me think though. Are you sure you don't want to do a bit of mountain terra and re-orient the valley its in to the south/south east, so that it connects with the Slayne River valley? The Slayne is part of the Red Watch and is a major river route for the...
Just gonna drop here that could there be a kingsroad update? make it a little smoother, blend in better with the snowy surrounds and maybe sometimes have a ditch nearby? just some interesting features that might make the snow covered grassland and bog seem a bit more interesting.
Apart from...
Its been suggested before, to have many seasonal camps essentially and move between them! Signs of life and evidence of 'disappearing' structures i.e. concealing them with foliage, making Crannogs themselves be grown over so that when the people return they can get fresh brushwood etc.
Two issues cos I don't have that much time so I'll be blunt.
1. Reed is a major house because it is the leader of a strategic region. They're major because of their location, not because of wealth or honour. They're also one of the most insular/isolationist cultures on the continent.
2. The...
I agree with Dutch here. Also then there's the complicated debate about how to depict a 'lizard-lion' and whether they are crocodiles/alligators or some kind of enormous monitor lizard, as crocodiles are mentioned elsewhere in ASOIAF
