    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

Loras: Yeah, that would be easier to do. Spike: I’m confused? We already do have cobblestone wall/stair/slab. They’re in the vanilla inventory though. Also, I know about the mistake with arbor/oldtown blocks, I will fix it in the next update.

    Approved Project Application: Antlers

@Howy , unless I’m mistaken people don’t have to post appeals for orphaned build pickups (at least that’s the precedent we’ve done). The rules don’t make it clear when people need to post justifications though, I should probably add that in.

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

It is technically possible, yes, although a little more challenging than adding a normal block I think.

    White Harbor Sprawl Plotting Applications

Hey Spike, looks good to me! You have my approval to go ahead, although I’d like to see the final plotting before you start opening stuff up to build. Kor should be able to do the small terra for you, since he’s doing the rest of that area anyways.

    White Harbor Sprawl Plotting Applications

I think @MajorTom12466 is testing for it, but I wouldn't mind if you did it together even... Also, thanks for the research Maj!

    yellowllama Builder Application

Hey yellowllama, Good work on the new house! It's a big improvement, and you've mainly got the woodwright style down. I'll jump right to some of the feedback I have this time around: - You shouldn't have the thin logs in the corners of the house, as it doesn't really make sense realistically...

    Approved Wyl by Endymion

Hey, I finally got a chance to look over this app fully - sorry for the delay! This is an excellent and high-effort application; I don’t really have any concerns with your plans except for possibly small stuff which will come up during the building process. You have my approval! I hope you wyl...

    White Harbor Sprawl Plotting Applications

Updated the mini-build map! As you can see, there's only a couple things left! To summarize them briefly: * 10: Salt boiling facility * 9: Peasant houses, gardens, pastures (see this map for rough house locations/density) * 17: House Holt - treated as mini-project with higher standards of...

    White Harbor News & Stats

December 23, 2018 Update Hey everyone, As we're approaching the new year, I just wanted to give a brief update about the state of WH. The harbour area is pretty much finished. Whoo! I've gone through approving the houses there, and all that's left is populating the harbour with ships and...

    JoeSanduskyo Builder Application

Hey PETASOS, Finally got some time to look at this! Sorry bout the wait. Your tests look pretty good! They’re not up to server standards just yet, but it looks like you have a good eye for details so it shouldn’t take long to get you there. Anyways, I’ll start out giving some feedback on the...

    GameBlastMedia Builder Application

Hey GameBlastMedia, Thanks for the application! Unfortunately, your application is still missing an important requirement in the builder applications and guidelines. Additionally, we ask that you build a house in the style of our server. I recommend you spend a bit more time on our server...

    yellowllama Builder Application

Hey yellowllama, My apologies for not getting to this sooner! I just got out of finals, so I have some more time on my hands now. Your house seems like a very good start! You seem to have a lot of our building technique down. I'll start out with some feedback, and then start you on a build in a...

    Withdrawn Project Application: House Long

Hey Knight, Don't worry about it! A lot of people have the same trouble around the time of the first solo project, since it's a pretty big jump to planning an entire style & area. You don't have to apologize at all for stepping back. Trust me, it's better to iron that stuff out now than to have...

    Withdrawn Project Application: House Long

Hey Knight, Enah and I were looking at the app & location a bit more, and we came to the decision that the islands are just so tiny and rugged, they probably wouldn't be able to support a village of people, nevermind an actual established house. It probably makes more sense to relocate Long to...

    IronGentleGiant Builder Application

Hey Iron, I see what you were intending with the roof/overhang, although that works best with rooves facing sideways to the street. It's hard to combine it with a forward-facing gable. Anyways, the updated version looks good! There are still a few issues with the daub & wattle: when using the...

    IronGentleGiant Builder Application

Hey Iron, You did pretty good on this house! It's mostly in the Fairmarket style, however there are a few issues I have with it: - The front side appears to have a "pinched" roof shape, which is not in the Fairmarket style. It should be linear instead (you did this properly in the back side)...

Planning List of all available projects

Removed wyndhall from the map, since we found some WE errors there, and the build was super old and ugly.

Completed Project application: House Hutcheson by Pigxle

Hey Des, Looks good! Just a couple quick pointers: - It might be better to slide the houses down the road towards the base of the hill, where the land is flatter (it will also help you incorporate the field better). - Make sure when you actually plot the yards to avoid "bubble yards", i.e...

    [Building] Turf/Sod Houses

There was actually an interesting blurb in the article about Viking-era turf houses vs. those built in the 18th and 19th centuries:

    [Building] Turf/Sod Houses

Just going to leave this here: http://www.hurstwic.org/history/articles/daily_living/text/Turf_Houses.htm Great resource for the North, Riverlands, and Iron Islands if we ever revisit those in the future.
