I've made the borders for Lonmouth, check it out when you get the chance MDM. They are a little bigger than I first proposed but hopefully still ok. The ends further away from the middle just need attention terraforming-wise as they are part of the southern Kingswood. So when you figure out a...

Has this been post-approved by Emotione11 ? (judging from the like on Ant's last post). I can officially mark it completed on all fronts if so.

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

Imo this is a massive overall improvement, and I think the addition of a pink stone block is key. Maybe swap the colors of the large brick and small brick? The joints on the large brick still appear too dark, though a color swap might help lessen the contrast. Would it be possible to make the...

King's Landing Remaster October Update and Plan

Thanks Emote, I think treating KL as a site of active maintenance helps me to understand how all of this works going forward. Keeping the city as functionally WIP long term will allow it to continue to be updated using the system mentioned in the OP. Hopefully then the boulder will eventually...

King's Landing Remaster October Update and Plan

The way this is being planned should not come as a surprise to anyone; the methodology for the update had been discussed in the Summer 2020 Rookery and in subsequent forum posts. I think what you are asking for Stoop, which is a fairly extensive amount of re-plotting, something that KL would...

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

Absolutely but at the moment the mortar looks black, IMO it should just be a slightly darker pink than the rest of the set. the light pink test in the swatch you posted doesn’t look pink to me, and doesn’t match the intensity of the colours in the images Ark and Enah have posted.

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

Scubooty had a go at pink gradients I think the problem we identified is that there is just too much contrast between the blocks. As mentioned before, lightening the joints between the bricks/stones should help. Compare the pink sandstone and coarse red sandstone. The red has much lighter...

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

THE PINK BLOCK PROBLEM I think we're all in agreement that the pink stone blocks need a little work before they become more widely adopted. I personally hope they can be used more widely along the Red Fork and help set that area of the Riverlands apart from the rest. I know Emote is playing...

Thanks Alex, while yes we do disagree on some things, your feedback was always very helpful, clear, and thought-provoking. I hope you also noticed instances where your feedback was taken on and changes made. There were a few instances where I did not follow your feedback because it clashed with...

Great update MDM! Though I have to say I much prefer the fully close-studded keep top floor, the mixing with the horizontal CTM “X“ D&W wouldn’t structurally make much sense. The version to the right is better.

Approved Project Application: House Melcolm of Old Anchor

Fascinating! Yes this is precisely the kind of thing I would not expect to see. The picture does a nice job of showing how rare this arrangement is, as all the other buildings seem to be completely brick infilled. Oh yes, no problem with vertically arranged sections, only when one is atop the...

Approved Project Application: House Melcolm of Old Anchor

Thanks for addressing my points Enah. I'm not sure your map is to scale though. Compare for example your town and castle to those of nearby Runestone and Mooreton. In any case, I don't think anyone can be expected to draw perfectly to scale. It's a great map, and I'm sure the kinks will get...

Approved Project Application: House Melcolm of Old Anchor

Thanks for the additional images Enah, and I really like your castle layout. I hadn't considered you wanted to keep the old OA palette, I like your reasoning that this is more weathered and therefore less "clean" than the Ironoaks palette. Palette issues: 1. The question of colours, patterns is...

    Under Review Lonmouth by MDMeaux

My suggestion for the Royal Apartments was based on the proximity to the Kingswood, Kingsroad, and the proposed role of Lonmouth as Royal Forest Wardens. I agree that the monarch might just use the lords apartments, but was just suggesting it as it could be a unique feature. Just something to...

Hey MDM, I'm so glad you went ahead with the application. I think your reasoning and backstory is sound. Tests: You've made excellent use of the close-studding in your tests, and I love the simplicity and tonality of the palettes you have chosen. Royal Apartments: I would suggest adding royal...
