The Spring 2023 edition of The Rookery is now out! Take a look to see the latest builds, guides, progress and development updates on the upcoming 1.18.2 switch. You can read it here:
By the way, we’d love to hear your guys’ thoughts, so please share them if you have any ! Ultimately this is something that will serve you just as much as it’ll serve editors.
Bringing up Highgarden is moot, as it is the most lavish castle in Westeros and is stylistically meant to stand out as having larger, more palatial structures. The same is also true for the Red Keep. Norcross, on the other hand, is not nearly at the same level of economic prosperity, and while...
To be fair, Newcastle is based heavily of Chateau Pierrefonds, which is consistent with the style of much of the Mander river catchment. As I understand it, Dunstonbury came first, and when the Manderlys went north they replicated it in White Harbor. So you wouldn't really be deviating too much...
I've gone through and implemented most of the feedback here. My only thing about the building in Kerseyford is it's intended to stand out as a more industrial building against the backdrop of the idyllic village.
Also I did delete melons in a couple places where I addressed the feedback, but...
Just my little two cents here, I’d be careful about the size of the castle still, because you’re going to be putting a large structure on a cliff. The trouble being this could affect the proportions of the area and make the cliff look tiny/castle look huge. Think Bandallon for scaling, it...
Hmmm, I understand what you're going for I think, but the height of the dividing ridge is wayyy too low for the surrounding terrain, and I think it honestly makes more sense to keep the valley going one direction, instead of separating it into watersheds.
Heya,
Aeks has asked us editors to try and pitch in with Crayne wherever possible, and while I can't provide direct instruction for the time being, I figured I could at the very least give my thoughts on the hydrology of the valley.
So for Crayne, my thoughts are have the area that's being...
I will be dropping this as an editor in Joseidon’s absence. Should he return, I will continue to work here, but it seems pointless to work without feedback or input from the project lead. I have attempted to contact him via discord, but he seems MIA.

Hiya guys, so I've set up an area for terra school, where our first lesson will be in raising, sculpting and extruding terrain. So, how does this coming Sunday (August 7th) at roughly 20:30 BST sound?
Hi Alex, just had an idea terrain-wise. You could have the Crayne valley be a hanging valley of the larger glacial fjord that Heart's Home is situated in. A hanging valley occurs when a smaller glacier converges onto a larger one. The smaller glacier hasn't carved a deep enough path for a smooth...
I'm gonna count the tents as 1 build, and they're all good. Looking through the houses, they're all solid with only a few notes on one of your pennybridge houses and the pennywine house. Overall, I'm happy with your work!
Time and date are gonna be decided when I know roughly how many people are interested and depending on when I can get an area of test prepared and ready for that number of people. But I don’t do much with my time, so if I had to guess I’d presume sometime in the second week of August.
Hey all, just creating this thread for a brief discussion about me perhaps setting up some terra school live training sessions in the voice channels in discord.
The idea being that we can get a bunch of you guys in one place at once so I can share some wisdom and teach you all some important...
