Yep confirming this is now finished.
Wiki article:
Long Barrow is one of the nineteen castles along the Wall constructed by the Night’s Watch. It is located east of the King’s Road between castles Rimegate and Torches. As with the majority of Wall castles (excluding the Shadow Tower, Castle...
Hey Mayday,
Thanks for completing this application and great to see you've done some exploring of our server already and you've got an interest in medieval history and architecture - you've come to the right place!
Nice work with replicating the application house, as I hope you can tell we try...
Hey Blue, this lumber mill mini is looking really nice. Great design for the water mill wheel. My only notes to consider:
I wonder if the mill could made a bit more secure? If the opening was reduced down to 3 blocks wide you could add doors on either side.
These bricks at the water line...
Hey Teppichklopfer, thanks for completing this Tarbeck house.
On the whole you've done a really nice job, the shape, look and feel of the house is largely consistent with the Tarbeck style.
I don't have much feedback since you've address all the key points, I like the small details you've...
Looks really nice Wurst, could add a small boat or two along the river banks.
Just with this house, you could complete the diagonal to the walls by shifting them one block across to the right, following the line in red (same as the house to its left). The yard could be a little bigger too...
Hi Teppichklopfer,
Thanks for completing this application and great to see you've done some exploring of our server already.
Nice work with replicating the application house, as I hope you can tell we try to put as much detail and signs of life as we can into our houses. Hopefully through this...
KL35 is at long last looking finished! All builds/updates have ostensibly been completed.
Last thing I just wanted to confirm was the road mix/drainage style to use for these main streets, do we have a consensus on that yet?
Hey Argent,
Brilliant work with these test Tarbeck houses.
I don't have a lot of feedback, you've really nailed all the small details and I like how you've set out the interior spaces along with the the yard and things like the crops in the yard, animal pen etc garden
For your next challenge...
Hey welcome back!
Glad to see you're still interested in joining the server (Inspired by House of the Dragon perhaps? :P) . Thankfully, Tarbeck still remains a gold standard example of Westerlands architecture so feel free to make a start on that Low Class Farmer's house similar to the ones...
Hey Allisgood,
Thanks for finishing this HG house, it's looking very nice.
Just a couple of notes:
- with the roof edges, when using tiles we generally add wooden stairs/half doors beneath them instead of double layering the tiles.
Here's an example in HG town
- No need for the chimney to...
Thanks Allisgood,
This White Harbor house is looking good, and you've made a fun design for the internal boat dock.
Just a few small notes:
- We try to avoid using trapdoors since they can opened/closed by guests. You can swap them with half-doors.
- We also try to add roof-rafters to the...
Confirming the first 4 Wall castles have now completed their updates, Stonedoor, Torches, Hoarfrost Hill and Longbarrow have now had their updates completed. Thanks to Rex, Finn and Auscarbone!
Hey Allisthegod, thanks for completing this Tarbeck house.
On the whole you've done a nice job, the shape, look and feel of the house is largely consistent with the Tarbeck style.
I'd only suggest a few changes to make it a little more consistent with how we normally build/furnish low class...
Westeros is currently in summer at the time of the server IIRC, so would we take that to mean these 13 scars would be dry/not bleeding any sap? Could add a bit of residue though I guess.
Would be cool if all the stone blocks used at Harrenhal could CTM blend with coal/volcanic/valyrian stone for the melted sections (or maybe we could use a Melted Harrenhal Stone block that can super CTM too).
Hi Allisthegod,
Thanks for completing this application and great to see another Aussie interested in joining the team.
Nice work with replicating the application house, as I hope you can tell we try to put as much detail and signs of life as we can into our houses. Hopefully through this...
