The Spring 2023 edition of The Rookery is now out! Take a look to see the latest builds, guides, progress and development updates on the upcoming 1.18.2 switch. You can read it here:
Great point!
I'd had some plans to continue the full height of the Wall to the end to create enough room for the fortifications, but yeah we can certainly aim to mirror those inspiration photos as well.
Regarding the north side coastline, I actually like how the show depicted it with these...
Eastwatch-by-the-Sea
Dark Greetings! Now that the Nightfort is getting close to finished, I'm proposing to make a start on Eastwatch under the server build umbrella.
Gawain and Eag_inc have done some great tests for the build along with a mini. Since they're both presently occupied I've...
Happy Holidays!
We've got lots of activities planned for the 17th. Jump online around 8pm GMT on the 17th to join in.
SNOWBALL OVERLAY PACK
Attached to this post is a download link to a Holiday themed Resource Pack Overlay. Try it out! Just download it to your Resource Pack Folder and add it...
Happy to jump on as an approving mod too.
Would be good to get some details of the planned non-redo update of the Honeyholt area when those are ready. I'll echo Eld's point as well about avoiding taking on too much terra at once, space it out so it's not all placeholder. Can loop me in when...
I've been playing with a new Harrenhal Granite texture to give an option for some more variety with the castle walls
Tossing up between Option 1, which is a bit darker and matches the Basalt Bricks, and Option 2 which matches the Bedrock cobble.
If the Harrenpals have a preference/like the idea...
Hi Daeron, sorry for the delay, I must've missed your first post with the White Harbor house.
You've definitely captured the overall look and feel of the city and identified the blocks we used to built it.
I think at this point you'll learn more from being an actual builder, so consider...
Re: the Mander, the river banks and greenery are fairly generic so feel free to work on improving them if you like. The sand bars/delta were probably what I spent most of the work on so maybe give me a heads up if you want to rework any of those.
Hey Daeron, great work with this Tarbeck house.
On the whole you've done a nice job, the shape, look and feel of the house is largely consistent with the Tarbeck style and I like the attention to the small details like adding the half door to the end of the workbench.
My only small note would...
Hey Daeron,
Thanks for completing this application and great to see you've seen some of our YouTube content.
Nice work with replicating the application house, as I hope you can tell we try to put as much detail and signs of life as we can into our houses. Hopefully through this application...
Hey I made a thing
I swapped a weirwood face texture block, which depending on the size of the tree may need to be rotated, so the sides are orientated vertically.
Hey LastLoki
Thanks for completing this application and great to see you've done some exploring of our server already and your a fan of creative Minecraft, you've come to the right place!
Nice work with replicating the application house, as I hope you can tell we try to put as much detail and...
Thanks Mayday, great work.
I think at this point you'll learn more from being an actual builder, so consider yourself approved!
Please make sure to read the New Builder guide here: https://westeroscraft.com/wiki/guides/new-builders-guide
The next step is to make a probation thread in the...
Hey Mayday
Thanks for building this Highgarden style wine merchant. On the whole it's looking good, have just a couple of suggestions.
When using drawer/cabinet blocks, we try to make sure only one side of the cabinet is exposed (drawers wouldn't have multiple sides like that in real life). You...
Hey Mayday
Nice work with this White Harbor netmaker, you've definitely captured the overalllook and feel of the city and identified the blocks we used to built it. Nice work with the Tarbeck updates aswell.
My one small note is just on this cooking area here:
I reckon you could cut the half...
Hey JJLyric were you good to finish off this hamlet? I'm thinking it could be worth adding a palisade wall around the perimeter for defence (they'd have plenty of wood from the forests). Otherwise think it just needs the stone yard walls and a muddy snow path leading towards the Kings Road.
Hey Mayday, great work with this Tarbeck house.
On the whole you've done a nice job, the shape, look and feel of the house is largely consistent with the Tarbeck style.
My only suggestions would be to extend this mezzanine level a bit further so it has a clear connection to atleast three walls...
