For your first challenge, take a thorough look at /warp Duskendale and build something in the style there.

Hi Javerys,

A good effort, structurally an acceptable build, with just some minor issues to address for the next time.

Your exteriors look solid, although at first glance the house does look like it has slightly too many windows. Your daub and wattle patterning is a bit boxy, I'd take a look at the vertical daub to break up the horizontal lines-- which to me have the effect of making the house look shorter than it actually is.

Just a small point but I'd try and think of glass as a bit of a luxury-- I know Duskendale has a lot of glass so you weren't to know. I'd just avoid it in areas such as the area above the cart which wouldn't be a desirable location for a window. Shutters/timber window frames would've been a betterr alternative.

Your palette is a little samey in places on the outside, particularly the monochrome sandstone at the base of the vertical struts. Just changing the odd block up adds significant visual interest that would've elevated the build a little higher.

Your interiors largely look fine-- I'm never a fan of mixing more than 2 wood types together, particularly avoiding birch and spruce directly next to each other as they contrast significantly-- I don't know if this would be an issue anyone would give feedback for though.

I do think you have a tendency to place all your furnishings on the outside edges of rooms, which has the effect of making the space feel lest dynamic and interesting.

Otherwise, solid interiors, just don't forget to add a mixed palette to break up the floor of stormlands brown blocks.

For your next challenge take a look around /warp beresford and build a house in that style.

Hey,

I can only apologise again for my slow response, I've been so busy with RL work.

I think you should be really pleased with this, I can't see any faults with what you've built at all.

I'd just keep an eye on making sure thatch is on the less visually messy side in parts. Thatch only really works at a steep enough angle for rain to run along the strands of thatch, so keep that in mind.
