Completed House Garner: Project Thread

Morning everyone! I've been tweaking with the castle this last couple of days and it didn't really convince me. So here I upload some images of the new castle test. Simba told me to nuke the tower with the flag but I think it looks good there. Let me know your opinion on that please!

This is a marked improvement!

One other thing: it might be nice to add LP brick timber blocks to your house palette to add a bit more variety. In my own project, I chose to add LP timber in the areas closest to Lannisport, and I think Garner is close enough to warrant its use, as well.
Sure, do you have anywhere that I can take inspo from???

Here you have a few more house designs using the Lannisport brick that Lem suggested. I really like the style at /warp sfham3, which is kind of close to Garner. I'll take some inspo from that area too.

Hello everyone! sorry for being so persistent, but I still need a terra editor to help me with the mountains at Garner. I've tried to make some progress, but it was absolutely awful. Perhaps it's my fault for having started the project without the skills to do them idk. Although overall I feel progress is being made, I need to at least have a base of the terra to open new areas and the complex in the western part of the region. Please if anyone is available let me know!

Heya Rex, I really wish I could help you out, but I'm completely full with commitments, might we worth asking Endy, as he worked on Stackspear, which also has mountainous terrain in the Westerlands. If not, try Simba or Otty. If you still need help in a few weeks, I can try and shift stuff around and help you out though. Garner is looking sweet so far tho :p

Okay so if rmvillage is done before I start working/studying again I should have time to help you get the landforms going and teach you some tools to use. Main thing rn is plotting where you want the ridgelines, spurs and gulleys to go.

Hey hey! I wanted to let you know that I opened a small mini at Garner next to the creek east of the castle. The building is a fulling mill, where wool directly cut from sheep is washed and cleaned in order to remove oils, dirt, and other impurities. I attached a couple of images below to illustrate how the machinery works, however if you still need a bit of explanation feel free to ask or look for more references (the wikipedia article about fulling is ok). The building is requiered to have a main station where wool is cleaned and thickend (the watermill itself), a small tenterground (area used for drying newly manufactured cloth after fulling) and a small storage building. If you'd like to give it a go, make a test in your plot and upload it here on the thread!
