With Mallery nearing its completion, I'm proposing the adoption of the neighbouring project of Thorne. It's a disgrace to the newer and up-to-date Crownlands projects. The style of the houses and the palettes for the castle would be the same as Mallery's, with the general layout of the lands...
Variations of the first pic with different locations (RK, Storm's End...) would be amazing, with or without the army of the dead. Maybe just make it less bright, should feel creepier and scarier.
I think the main problem here is that your tests don't fit the regional style - no matter its age and other circumstances, the build has to be recognizable as a *Crownlands* project. The materials and styles you provided don't fit that requirement. I'd look at some newer castles nearby, such as...
I agree with Simbaa that the castle looks a bit out of place, when compared to Boggs and Cave - I'd incorporate the tower style of those projects more. As for the wooden crennelations, I don't see the point of having them instead of just stone, especially if the gate is as low as it is rn.

The castle's style and blocks are too similar to those of the Crownlands norman keeps, imo. I'd go for something similar to the nearby Spiderwood (a Pinkmaiden vassal iirc), both with the palette and the style.
