The Spring 2023 edition of The Rookery is now out! Take a look to see the latest builds, guides, progress and development updates on the upcoming 1.18.2 switch. You can read it here:
Added some 10th Anniversary designs to our Redbubble store! We're also adding some more awesome designs (and even renders!) over the next several weeks!
I kinda agree with Dutch about the mixed stone palette. I have seen instances where a mixture (more similar to your tests that just use oldtown/arbor stone at points of erosion, rather than a main part of the gradient) is used effectively and well, but it's usually at a larger scale than in a...
This would work really well in snowy regions, too, imo. I remember going up to Whistler to ski as a child and seeing evergreen trees covered in lichen like this.
Jakethesnake8_8 : Overall, the tests look good, but I have a few notes. The lichyard-type stuff should be limited to the crypts or at most just around the entrance to the crypts. The rest of the gardens should be pretty decorative. For the sept itself, I'd replace the confessional and reliquary...
Fully support this! I suggested it a while back and got hit with a lot of "but that's a new world plant." I'm from Southern California (where there is a TON of bougainvillea), and it's so pretty. I think it would fit really well in the southernmost (and driest) section of Westeros.
Just opened the main town at /warp hornvale for building! This also includes the plots in front of the castle, as well as the mill special build.
Let me know if you're interested in testing for any of the special builds in the area.
That would be awesome! I'm writing up something short about laundry in medieval times, but we can always have more than one world building article in an issue! I'd just say to make sure to send the text and any possible pictures (either screenshots from in-game or something creative commons/fair...
Just added several new minis in Hornvale lands!
Current available minis:
/warp sffarm4 - A farm complex that raises sheep, has a sheepfold, and uses the pastures on the opposite side of the road. They also take their herds to some of the high mountain pastures for grazing...
IMajic : Looks pretty goodI I left some feedback melons above your test. I'll approve once you take care of my feedback. As of right now, the house palette will be the same as at Tarbeck and Sarsfield.
Yeah, it's a bit hard to represent with a map, but there are a decent number of inclines/dips on that valley between Hornvale lands and the Gold Road. I'd likely have to wind it a bit to avoid the road being too steep.
So, I've been considering an idea to add another entrance to the Hornvale lands for a while now. We used to have a path from the Riverlands into Hornvale, but I scrapped it to stay in line with canon saying there's only one main entrance from the Riverlands into the Westerlands (the River Road...
