The Spring 2023 edition of The Rookery is now out! Take a look to see the latest builds, guides, progress and development updates on the upcoming 1.18.2 switch. You can read it here:
Here's my quick and dirty smoothing script i've used up north. nothing clever or sophisticated, it just finds the edges of vertical layers and works its way inwards and outwards until the new edges meet (if that makes any sense).
it's nowhere near perfect, but does at least some of the work for...
I wouldn't mind making the southernmost islands and the southern parts of Stony Shore coastline a bit greener, we can always claim the ocean makes the climate warmer or at least more temperate. All the way up to Hermit Island would be too much imo, it's on the same latitude as Winterfell, so...
Howdy!
Here's a series of scripts I've used while re-terraforming the Neck (check out /warp saltspeardelta for the finished product). The process itself is quite simple:
Step 1:
Paint the basic land/water split with green and blue wool, like this:
Like with all the other terra scripts...
A couple of new tree types, WolfswoodS and M. Rather large generic coniferous trees mainly for Wolfswood, can be used elsewhere too. Should combine nicely with the previously posted conifers.
There are also schemsets for L and XL, but they're really big and thus to be used sparingly, so I won't...
The problem with this is the pipe symbol, macros/keybinds reads that as line change, so it messes up the script. You can use it in your regular, chat based WE stuff though.
It's time for more terraforming madness with Uncle Carci! In this tutorial we'll learn how to use adjacency masks to create nice, smoothly gradiented rivers.
Note: This tutorial assumes you already
a) have Macros/Keybinds mod installed,
b) know how to use it and
c) are able to locate your...
Yep, you can make all kinds of forests with this workflow. Steps 1-4 (prepwork) will always be the same, after that you can mix and match whatever trees/details you want, provided there's a script for them.
So, if you want to make a (northern) forest with alders, maples and birches, just use...
Before I get buried under DM's:
On a Mac, macros folder is located at /Users/<your username>/Library/Application Support/.westeroscraft/instances/WesterosCraft-1.12.2/liteconfig/common/macros
On windows I'm guessing it's something like...
Here's a quick tutorial on how to use my forest scripts (AF = AutoForest). As I've used these in the North, they're built around vegetation and terrain types found there, but once you figure them out, it's very easy to customize them to fit any area or climate.
Note: This tutorial assumes you...
Hey yo terraformers!
This will be the thread for all non-project specific terraforming in The North. The North was worldpainted in 2013 (iirc) and that means the terrain isn't up to server standards anymore, so there's a plenty of terra work available. We're talking about redoing and/or...
yep, there'll be some elevation variation further inland. you can sort of see that the on the pic with conifer trees, although that's just a one block raise, on the actual map it'll be more substantial. the tests are flat just for the sake of simplicity (i.e. me being lazy). ;)
