Well, I first got involved after seeing the amazing timelapse builds of old Harrenhal and old Pyke. I think I became a builder in 2012 or 2013 first, and I think (or fear?) that quite a few people still remember me from back then. :'D

Sure do! I am a big fan of the fantastic novels by Kai Meyer as well as a couple manga and anime like "Blade of the Immortal" or "The Twelve Kingdoms".

Game of Thrones
Clash of Kings
Storm of Swords
Feast for Crows
Dance of Dragons

Season 1
Season 2
Season 3
Season 4
Season 6
Season 7

I think in my last app I put Tyrion and Littlefinger as my favorites here - and I still hold to that mostly! Tyrion's so enjoyable to follow around through his story thanks to his wit and clever sarcasm. On top of that, he displayed quite remarkable tactical genius, both on the battlefield as well as in the intrigue-ridden capital. It's fascinating to me how he acts with the kind of ruthlessness that gets you ahead in the Game of Thrones, yet holds tightly onto his moral codes and humanistic beliefs. It gives him great depth as a character, especially in the face of all the stuff he has to go through over the books' course. Littlefinger meanwhile carries such a huge weight on the plot and yet we still cannot truly tell what he is after (in the books at least). He is quite evenly matched with Tyrion in wit, yet carries around so few moral baggage and just seems still shrouded in mystery. I can't wait to find out more about him and Tyrion in future books!

Given that I was a builder before until the end of 2015, I saw the launcher come and the major style readjustments that happened on the server. Thus, I think I am already pretty well-versed in general building "etiquette" already. Furthermore I am very eager about experimenting with palettes and building styles and really enjoy furnishing less spacious and cozy interiors.

I really miss the great times I had with all the other people on the server as we worked together to bring the beautifully elaborate and believable world of ASoIaF to life. Sadly I had to take a huge break from this hobby due to university, but now that my workload is starting to shrink a little again finally, I'd love to return to my favorite minecraft server and build a ton of houses and castles!

Hi Ubeka, welcome back! :D

You've built all the buildings I would've asked of you and they all look great, so I'm gonna reapprove you, however there are a couple things I want to address first:

- Try to avoid placing single/sporadic blocks of thatch carpet, like here: https://i.imgur.com/3k8VgyX.png
It just clutters up a room that already has plenty to look at without it. Generally, only place a carpet if there's a large empty space in the floor that needs a central feature, and when you do, keep the carpet continuous and "blob-like" (or rectangular).

- Try not to use log blocks in houses as much, either interiors or exteriors. Such as here: https://i.imgur.com/aU21eg7.png
It tends to look a bit clunky/outdated, especially with the chain block showing through the floor which doesn't really make sense.

- This house would look good with the new "overhang-less gables" style that people have been doing: https://i.imgur.com/a9BYuP9.png
Since when you view it from the side like this, the overhang on both sides makes the roof seem very top-heavy. Instead, trim the overhang on the gables so the thatch stairs are in-line with the wall.

- Avoid doing "bubble yards", like here: https://i.imgur.com/78OBB5A.png
Make the walls of the yard rectangular, and also for such a small yard you might want to use wattle fence walls instead of a bulky stone wall.

Other than those things, good work, welcome back to the team! Just ask a mod to promote you to builder in-game.
