Shader menu not working

When i enter the shaders menu the game stops to correctly play and i have to close the launcher and re-enter, even though when i use shaders in my minecraft, there is no problem.

Have you tried loading the shaders in the main menu rather than when inside the server? That might help.

The launcher lets you select shaders pre-launch, too. Click the gear icon > Mods and scroll all the way down where it lets you select a Shader Pack.
