I've just gotten swamped with a ton first day homework (5 due in one class by next week already)
So I'll be on at the minimum these upcoming weeks. That being said I have requirement from you
For every home I critique. I expect you to go back and correct similar mistakes on the ones I didn't cover and apply my advice/tips. I cannot go through every home and make sure that they're perfect. That is on you. You're a probation builder, you are learning and going back to correct mistakes is part of the learning process. I will go back and double-check one house after I review a random 5 and if that house contains more than 1-2 mistakes I addressed, I may extend your probation period.
Okay enough for the threatening professor-like facade. Sorry!

Thanks otty! Sorry about all that homework, I will definitely follow your advice and be more independent in correcting my mistakes. Based on that, should I continue posting my builds on this thread? Also, I'm also really enjoying my time here and feel quite welcomed by the community!

Here a critique of Build #1.
Your use of upside downstairs to create shelving is dated as it looks very clunky. As well you can't put anything on it! I left a example of a better option for you to use above the building.
The pulley is a bit of a stretch just because the loft, in general, is so tight and small and it really makes the space feel tight. A good thing to understand is that our server is going through a relativiely "minimalistic" stage where we don't try to cram alot into a small space. So honestly, I say remove the loft, its not that necessary and there isn't any room for it.
Your gradient is incorrect. Another example is provided above the build.
Please make sure your thatch doesn't expose any wood underneath. This is partially because of the shape of the house and messy thatch looks way worse on diagonals.

Hey! I'll be doing one more critique (as we looked over some of your homes in-game together) and then visiting a random home to see if you corrected your mistakes. You were doing really well last time I was on, and as long as these to homes are good I'll be sending you off to be a full builder on September 23rd!
