Hello HellFantasy!

Sorry for the late reply. And thanks for applying, this time in English.
I will guide you through your application to join our community. We will be communicating in English only, as to make sure you can use that language to communicate with others on the server.

Your house is a good base to start, though it shows many signs of older styles from our server.
Here's a little feedback on the house exts:
- we don't use log blocks anymore, they look too clumsy and too large to represent logs;
- we avoid the bell-shaped roof, and instead go for straight angles and no curves in the roof shape;
- for a brown-ish stones gradient, I recommend you to visit our recent builds in the Stormlands, like Mistwood, we don't use dark brown sandstone blocks in those gradients;
For the ints:
- we don't use the piston block, for anything; there are many alternatives to make bench (either the various blocks that we have in the inventory, or using other blocks like stairs or tables);
- there is a bit of empty space, and overall I invite you to try to use better the space inside the house. It looks a bit plain and boring right now. You could use wattles or half door blocks to make separations between different rooms, you could add different furnitures, a few baskets of food, etc. Don't overdo it though, the purpose is not to make too crowded interiors. You will find the right balance by experiencing and with time.
Sadly, I can't see the rooms upstairs, so please for the next challenge make sure to take pics of all the rooms.

Through your application, you will receive several challenges to build a house of a specific style, profession and class. Make sure to take pics of all the rooms and around the house.
As you stated that you love White Harbor, your first challenge will be a middle class house of that style. You can make the shape of neighbor houses to represent that it's a city house, and don't hesitate to add a yard to the house. You are free to pick a profession of your choice (baker, draper, merchant, etc).

You can take all the time you need, and don't hesitate to post here any questions you might have regarding your application and this challenge.
Good luck!

Hi HellFantasy,
Overall, it's a correct house, but there are still some major changes that you need to work on and focus on during your next challenges.
To help you, I recommend you do read through this Basic building guide.

For the feedbacks:
On the exterior of the house:
- the gradient of the walls need quite some work, some parts of the exts don't even have gradient and are just made of the same white harbor brick;
- white harbor houses, while using white stone gradients, don't use white painted wood as building material;
- it seems that there are 3 parts in the whole building, still I see only the ints for one part; what are the purposes of the 2 others wings?
- the courtyard is lacking signs of life and is poorly using the space available; you could add small veggies patches, or have a workshop; sausages/meat isn't stored outside like this, hanging under a roof, you could add a small shed for meat storage, and try to add some variation in the blocks (and not just 5 sausages blocks);
- we don't use sewer traps for any other uses than sewers entrances; if you want to cover a crate/basket/barrel, you can use the wooden carpets, nets or wooden trapdoor;
- why is there a crate of iron ingots? it looks a bit random, and we can't understand what would it be used for; same for the ropes on the floor, why would people living here leave ropes like that?

On the interiors of the house:
- first, as I told you on your first house, it is better if you can make screenshots of all the interiors, and that they are all built: you can't leave parts of buildings completely empty, otherwise the building will never be consider finished;
- kitchen looks okay, although you wouldn't use chili peppers in a Northern house: this condiment is mostly for southern locations (like Dorne, some parts of the Reach) or rich people that can afford to import exotic food;
- you shouldn't use log blocks as ceiling material, we try to remove all use of logs from our buildings now, it looks too heavy and clunky;
- we usually don't use iron bars as window material: most of the time, we leave it open, or use arrow slits of different shapes, or use fences;
- the living room and overall the interiors look a bit empty and plain, you could make a better use of the space, for example by placing the dining table at the center of the place, or by adding thatch carpet on the floor (using carpet blocks or full thatch block by replacing the ground blocks)

I suggest you to visit a bit more interiors of various houses to get what makes a nice living space.
Also, having a profession (meaning, a small shop and/or a small workshop to produce goods) can be a very good way to make the place a lot less boring.

For your next challenge, I want you to visit Woodwright and make a middle class house, but this time please make sure to have a profession for your house.

Also, to make sure you'll be fully able to communicate in English, I ask you one last time to only use English, otherwise we won't be able to approve you as builder.
I hope you fully understand the reasons behind this request.

Good luck for you next challenge, and again, don't hesitate to contact me here or any other builder/mod in game if you need any help or advise.

Hi HellFantasy,

As a general feedback, the execution of the house is improving overall.
Though I'm not sure you have really grasped the local style of Woodwright.
Your house looks like a classic low class Reach house that you could find in many Reach projet.
One part of the application process is to make sure you can follow a local style and replicate most stylistics guidelines.

Also, I see that you have a stall in front of the house, and a meat storage shed, meaning it seems to be a butcher. But I asked you to build a mid class house, of a more urban style (like at the main village, /warp woodwright).
For the next challenge, make sure to fulfill all requests of the challenge.
Finally, please, as much as possible, make sure to take screenshot under day light in game, as it makes the SC much more visible ;)

Now, feedback on the house itself:
- the gradient is improving compared to previous houses, but you could still make it better, maybe reducing the use of large bricks and cobble;
- the ground mix inside the house is usually made of a mix of dirt and gravel, sometimes some other materials, but definitely not full gravel;
- we try to avoid most of the time a 2 blocks high floor, because it's often impractical; taking this into account, I'd change the position of the stairs to the semi-floor with beds, maybe even replace it with ladders, or transform it to a full 2nd floor;
- the stall is a bit low, you could make it 1 block taller and replace the wood with wool to make it look less heavy;
- the meat storage shed is a bit short as well, and I would recommend to avoid stacking too many similar blocks, like too many sausages.

For your next challenge, I ask you to build a middle class house from the Hawthorne town (/warp hawthorne town).
Here's a few professions that could be nice to test, feel free to pick one for your house: tailor, apothecary, barber or wine merchant.
Good luck!

Hey HellFantasy,

Very sorry about the delay in your application, I think Elduwin has become too busy in real life the last couple weeks. I can pick up the app for now. The overall shape and interiors of the house are looking good; here's some of the feedback I have:

- The new facade you made on the house looks much better. Before the timber frames were random; in the new version they follow an organized pattern, which is how they should be.

- It seems like you don't have our custom resource pack loaded; some of the blocks in the images should connect with each other or have random textures. Make sure you have the resource pack loaded for future builds, it's pretty important for some details.

- If you have workbench or cabinet blocks, like in the back of this image or the corner of this image, make sure to cover all sides except one with "half door" blocks. It doesn't make sense for drawers to show on multiple sides.

- The interiors aren't bad, but some rooms feel very empty. For example, this one, this one, or this one. You want the ceilings to be proportional with the room size. If your room has a small area, you want the ceiling to be lower as well. Good rafters can also help with making rooms like that feel less empty. I recommend studying rafter designs in newer projects.

For the next challenge, please make a middle-class house in the style of /warp hgtown. The style here is a bit more complex, so please make sure to pay close attention to the timber patterns, interior designs, etc. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!

Hi Emo, I finished the house of hgtown. It is a house of a bourgeois family of four. They have servants and have a room that they can accommodate travelers (for few coins of course). The father is a cartwright.

Hey HellFantasy,

Very nice work on this house, you've gotten the Reach style down well :) I don't have a lot of feedback to give, mostly minor things:

- Try to add support to slate ceilings such as here (doesn't need to be fully covered, just some minimal rafters to make it seem supported).

- Don't use slate over the firewood here, just wood slabs or something.

- Avoid having exposed dirt blocks directly under walls, such as in this picture.

For the next challenge, please make a middle-class house in the style of /warp fairmarket. Again this is a more complex town style with more intricate details, so make sure to pay close attention and ask if you have any questions. Good luck!
