i cant launch MC, i can launch the launcher but when i try to launch minecraft through it it says "Done. Enjoy the server."

Are you using a mac? It is just because there is a similar issue to do with java updates that might be specific to mac.

FIXED[MacOS] Unable to launch (Minecraft crashes immediately after launch)
OS: macOS Catalina 10.15.6 Launcher Version: 1.6.0 Issue: Minecraft launches but crashes immediately, before even reaching the start-up screen. Explanation: I click 'PLAY' on the launcher, the game downloads to 100%, launches, then crashes immediately. Link to the Error Report...
