Request: Large and small hatches for close studded timbering
Request Type: General Addition
Try to describe all workarounds and associated issues that make it necessary to add this block in your eyes.
I suppose it's not entirely necessary, but it will expand our timbering capabilities and improve on historical accuracy. In addition to that, it'll help blend buildings where hatched timbering is used in conjunction with close studded timbering.
Types of evidence to support your request: Historical
Historical Evidence
Close studded timbering itself is thought to have originated in the 13th century and was widespread across England by the 15th century. Various forms of bracing existed, including a middle rail (we currently can do this with cycler) and various forms of diagonal and curved braces.
