Request: Faith of the Seven Fresco Blocks

Request Type:
Unique Addition (specific to a build, region, or culture)

Describe the use of this block in said build, region, or culture. How is it unique? To the best of your knowledge how could it be used in a different context?
To be used in septs a few other members and I have in mind a CTM block with the seven colourfully painted on. Something similar in concept to the Winterfell carvings. The idea is to create colourful and detailed elements within richer septs without having to create elaborate 3D murals to get the depth and detail required of these frescoes. This block would be exclusive to major septs (Stoney Sept, Baelor's, Starry Sept, Sept of the Vine, Sept of summer etc). The fresco would have a border with some sort of symbolism, leaves or another intricate design. Typically in churches, leaves are used to symbolise the garden of Eden, as well as fertility in the Holy Spirit. If we could find evidence of, or come up with some sort of symbolism that would be easy to implement into this block, we could add an extra flair to significant septs.

Types of evidence to support your request: Historical

Historical Evidence
A lot of religious buildings (churches, basilicas and cathedrals mainly) have colourful murals of Jesus, the apostles, the devil, and scenes from the bible. The same can be assumed for the Seven. Such idolised figures by the poor and rich alike would be deserving of murals and frescoes. Additionally, the faith plunders wealth from people and would have the financial capability to get these frescoes painted. They would serve as a way to emphasize the wealth of the faith.

Some actual medieval frescoes and mural paintings. Mostly romanic and some prerromanic.

I've made a request in the past for frescoes, still haven't seen much come out of the thread. I even had a article in the Rookery about their construction process. So I'm always a supporter of the addition of frescos and changing of our current paintings — some of which are oiled based and ones that's a Grand Tour painting, far exceeding even the Renaissance.

So yes please, lets keep these requests rolling in.

Great inspos btw Azulejo, I was about ready to say be careful of inspiration.
Also good to know, is that many medieval frescoes were broken up into registers (rows) and had the story tell in some choice of chronological progress along the wall. An example is the Scorvengi chapel in Padua Italy.

The Church

These registers would make it 10x easier for our great texture creators to format these frescoes.
It wasn't really until the reniassance that we started to see the frescoes interact with the space like we see the School of Athens or (one of my favorite examples) the Oculus by Mantenga. So registers are a great excuse to simplify them down to being a simple 2x3 CTM (something like the Mances Skull Block) Or just a a flat painting?
