Withdrawn Project Application: House Slate by Witherack

Thanks for the feedback Endy! I'll redo the map, work on different house variants and take another crack at the castle.

Btw ruin is finished (barring redoing trees) so good opportunity to bump the thread. I know a lot of you are busy (exam season sadly) and thats completely fine but I would appreciate a mod bump not like you have to look over everything or something, but just tell me whether im going in the right...

Slight update + bump cause its been a week, I've worked on my new layout and on incorporating bedrock and cobblestone into the builds. I need to finish off the crypts, redo trees and ground mix and do just a wee bit of tidying up but its pretty much done. (btw big thanks to guilix)

Withdrawn Project Application: House Slate by Witherack

I have expanded the plans onto the neighbouring hill across the ridge. The yellow would be barely any remains (like the curtain wall I had around my first test) and the orange would be things you can tell are building. If you don't like the layout that's fine I am always open to changes. On the...

Withdrawn Project Application: House Slate by Witherack

Alright firstly I can def add cobble onto the gradients. Tbh we need some more North blocks (maybe even like a light stone type thing). Not putting bedrock at the bases of the builds is more a personal preference, I can change that if you like. Regarding the ruins of House Towers, I can...

    The North - Terra Update

Firstly, great image Dutch! It looks like exactly like what I'd love the North to be. Secondly, I think it will be important to look at this more as a region, especially because we should probably work out how big and where our transition zone is going to be and whether the snow will be melting...

    Salt

Yes, and it's somewhat surprisingly very good. I was just reading about all these medieval methods and we don't really have much salt production so I thought I might make a post.

    Salt

Salt is very important to humans, and it always has been throughout history. Its main purpose in medieval times was the preservation of food and supplementing diets. A long time ago people noticed how food would keep for longer when salted and also that people with salt poor diets died sooner...

Abandoned Project Application: House Orme Update/Redo by Shymon

So I've returned to the Orme thread, and I am applying for the farmstead. I have a test at my plot but feel free to give any feedback as I'm still quite new. there is barn for storage, the main house and shed. A feature of the farmstead is its proximity to a small lake (or big pond), and I am...

I finished the yard, sorry for leaving early last night. I did the veggie patches of stuff the pigs can eat (cabbages and carrots) so they won't get hungry

Yeah, I completely agree with you on the 'balloony' tent. I have changed it slightly to have a central support beam like the example at the tor. With the pavilion tents I have added pegs but rather than having them meet above the tent I have the ropes going into the side just where it begins to...

Abandoned Project Application: House Orme Update/Redo by Shymon

I am applying for the mediaeval party mini near Orme. I think it would be a really fun project and I'd love to get some more experience with building. My tests are in my plot (/warp witherack). My idea for it a festival-type occasion, with food, drink and music.

Abandoned Project Application: House Orme Update/Redo by Shymon

Okay, here goes. This is my application for the second hamlet (H2) and I got an image together for a rough idea of where things could go here. The yellow is buildings, the green hedges, the blue paths and the brown wattle fences to divide up the yards. I was thinking probably only a small...

    Probation: witherack

Thank you very much for being my probie leader, it was a great experience. Sorry I forgot a chimney in Varner! About the bakehouse, I didn't really know about what to put the garden, and finally my kl1 smith house, the only reason the plates are pewter is because I asked if a smith would make...
