I agree the others that you should avoid having a town in Broom, and instead have some hamlets around the lands. You should also probably scrap the middle class houses and only have lower class houses. Your new map has some landed knights on it, but I'm not too sure that such a minor house...

@Enah The hamlet is looking pretty good. Can you just finish the yard dividers (hedges, fences, whatever) and put a bit more life into the grassy areas around the hamlet? I'm particularly talking about in front of the bread house and behind the diagonal house. These open spaces look a bit odd...

I mean, it's not impossible that some people pushed out by the normal village folk (e.g., witches) could have been forced to set up a settlement on "cursed" battle-marked land, right?
