Hey jacje,
Fantastic work on this challenge! The buildings all flow together very well, and with some minor adjustments it feels like it could fit in at the Tor town. I just have a couple pickier points of feedback to give:
- The gradients still need some work in some spots. The building on...
Hey Rav,
I like your plans overall! I gave some feedback on the style test here:
https://forum.westeroscraft.com/threads/flea-bottom-planning-and-general-style-discussion.2903/post-24010
Provided you adjust your style accordingly, I'm happy to approve this. Please keep me in the loop about...
Finally got a chance to look at this in a bit more detail. Overall it seems like you managed plotting on the hill pretty well; feels a lot less messy than current flea bottom (in a good way). Here's some thoughts/feedback:
- I'd probably make the houses lower on the hill a bit taller than they...
Thanks for the well-documented suggestion Seri. Just to clarify, it sounds like you’re proposing a set of blocks that are essentially brick-plaster composites, to help transition the two and also add details like weathering in gradients?
Once I get an update out with the higher priority items...
Hey Tobi,
You're definitely improving! Good on you for trying a diagonal house as well - those are tricky, and you pulled the shape off pretty well. I still have a bit of feedback to give regarding execution, most of which comes down to things being a bit too messy. So try to work on that...
Hey Azulejo,
Sorry about the wait - been a bit backlogged this week due to IRL happenings.
Overall very impressive work with these houses, and way to flex by building an entire street! I just have a couple points of nitpicky feedback:
- It's usually best to avoid using wall blocks to...
Hey perddi,
Sorry about the wait - been a bit backlogged this week due to IRL happenings.
Overall very very nice work with this house! I think it could fit right in at the Tor with some minor adjustments. Most of the feedback I have is picky stuff:
- The gradient is pretty well done overall...
Hey Enderking,
Yup, our server style is quite different from vanilla minecraft - it might take a bit of time to unlearn some habits, so I recommend just studying builds on the server closely and having an eye for detail.
Overall this house looks pretty good - you've got all the key elements of...
Hey jacje,
Sorry about the delay - hopefully you were able to get your texture issues fixed in the meantime.
Overall nice work with this house! Seems like you picked up the Woodwright style pretty quickly. I like the way you did the porch entrance as well. I'll jump right to some feedback:
-...
Hey homie,
I approve your hamlet plans as well, though I'd work a bit on refining the plotting still before opening. Some of the plots feel a bit cookie-cutter at the moment; if you work on adding immersive details to the hamlet (think of the types of activities they'd need to do to survive...
Hey Turtle,
Sorry about the delay; been really busy IRL this week.
Overall very impressive work on these houses! Good on you for making a whole row as well; it's definitely an important skill to be able to see how a building fits within the surrounding context. The feedback I have is mostly on...
Hey Amingo,
Sorry for the delay getting back to you - this week's been a bit of a whirlwind.
Overall you did a very nice job on this house! I only have a couple points of feedback to give this time:
- The "hip" on the roof (that is, the part where the roof turns sideways at the top of the...
As long as you and Spike are on the same page about everything, I'm happy to approve. I'm fine with only 60-degree rooves, I just wanted to see a bit more diversity in the roof shapes/alignments of the houses facing flea bottom so it forms an impressive wall of overhanging houses.
By "back street" you mean the one leading up to the dragonpit? I think the elevated walkway idea would still allow you to have a small facade on that side. The houses would be normal proportions, just elevated relative to the main road below. I'm fine with having something more similar to the...
Nuggs:
The elements that I feel the most strongly about:
* Having some sideways-facing rooves on the flea bottom side to help "glue" the houses together a bit more, and making the houses seem a bit less cookie-cutter.
* Changing some of the extreme proportions of the hillside houses (e.g...
Yup, pictures of all future builds should be posted in the same thread. I'd recommend uploading them to an Imgur album. Medium/large is relative to the style in question, but it looks like your house is medium. I'm not too picky about that though, as long as the house is large enough. If you...
Hey jacje,
Thanks for the application and your interest in the server! Regarding the invisible wattle fence, it looks like you don't have the server resource pack correctly loaded. Make sure you've downloaded WesterosCraft.zip and put it in the resourcepacks folder, and then selected it there...
