Some people wanted to try the experimental thatch texture I was working on. It's part of my experimental pack rn:

Yeah, I made the pouch much smaller (both left and right) and I think I'll try to stick to the native resolution (right side). The 64x64 one (left) feels odd against the material it's on:
Yeah I get that, I was trying to go for a small leather purse, but yeah now that I've implemented it I realize they're Scrooge McDuck-sized money bags. Although the content could still be anything.. Apparently you need about 23520 half-pennies to make a single dragon... sooooo the small vendors...
Just my two cents:
For those of you checking this out: I've been a bad boy. I deliberately upped the resolution on the coins to be able to give them some texture. This goes against a fundamental rule of modeling. I'll accept your punishment.
It's not like the brightness/ colours are insanely different between the options. BUUUUT if you realllly need it. I might set aside some time for it tomorrow. Jeez :P
I realise that what I said was misleading. Imma share the version we vote on and then freeze comments until people have checked that one out is what I meant!
I wholeheartedly agree with EStoop. But I don't want to devolve into that kind of discussion here. This place is for me to post nice things and for you to appreciate them and even try them out if you want. It's a place to showcase what we COULD do, not what we should or shouldn't do. Let's have...
Thanks for pointing to that use too, I totally forgot that was a thing. I was always put off a little by how the shelves are essentially huge in scale. They stick out 1 meter (1 block) which is large if you think about it relative to the average size of a house. I think I'd rather add dedicated...
Alright folks just cast your vote will ya:
"Nice"-Smiley: Heptagon no decoration
"Seriously?"-Smiley: Heptagon with decoration either the full carving or just the squiggles (that's something we can still determine after):
"Like"-Smiley: Circle without decoration
"Love"-Smiley: Circle with...
I had to test this out, could be a replacement for the fence gate when it's placed orthogonally to a wall underneath a balcony or overhang. Right now it matches the width of the timbers in the timber frame block.
In a previous iteration, they were wider. I think I preferred that because it...
Yeah, this is the first colored glass block I ever did *teary eye*.
I have a question though, does anyone still use full glass blocks?! Could you collect some in-game use cases of this block for me?
Hypothetically, and with the use of some advanced CTM, we could go all the way to cathedral...
Thanks CC!
I'd rather break down all ambiguous uses for a thin diagonal beam into separate additions, which gives us much more fidelity to represent each use case and the freedom to improve the texture as we see fit down the line. See my prototype for oars here.
It doesn't currently because it was easier for me to iterate on paper/ scroll designs which all draw from a single texture tile. For feature parity with the current block there should be a 1 in 7 chance for a book to appear but I think it makes more sense to split these into two bocks down the...
I don't think I agree that stretching the lines out is a good idea because that would cut into the heptagon. Since it seems that the majority are happy, and given the fact that this is a massive improvement over the existing designs, I'll propagate this to the other blocks and we'll try it out...
