In a gaming online magazine called Gamestar, they featured the old King's Landing map in 2011 or 2012. The photos in that article, the aerial view of King's Landing, was the reason I started to play Minecraft, and opened my eyes to see the true potential of the game.

Yes, besides of A Song of Ice and Fire, I'm a big fan of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and his entire literature, Andrzej Sapkowski's original The Witcher novels.

Game of Thrones, Clash of Kings, Storm of Swords, Feast for Crows, Dance of Dragons, Winds of Winter

Season 1, Season 2, Season 3, Season 4, Season 5, Season 6, Season 7

My favourite character is Ser Jorah Mormont.
I can fully identify myself as him, because he had multiple mistakes and wrong decisions, but under his staid and moderate surface, we can find a sentimental and desperate man who can't find his place in existence, because the driving force of all his actions and decisions is true love which remains unrequited.
He knows that his love toward Daenerys is hopeless, but despite this, he sacrifices everything for her.

I have high interest in historical and medieval European architecture, which can be useful for a builder who is building in a medieval fantasy world.
I also have artistic skills in oil painting and drawing, so I could make artworks for the server.

Because I think Westeroscraft is a monumental, legendary project, and it combines my favourite fantasy universe with my favourite game.
I have been following Westeroscraft in the past 7 years, and Westeroscraft is the reason why I love Minecraft.
Participating in the building of Westeros with the Westeroscraft team would be a great honour for me.

Hey Zsomiking,

Thanks for your interest in our server! I'm seriously impressed by your application, I don't think I remember the last time I saw an application build of that caliber. We only ask for a house or two, and you went and made an entire project, just about server quality no less. Gushing praise aside, here's a couple minor things I noticed:

- One thing I would try to avoid is "bubble walls" around fields and gardens, where the wall doesn't seem to follow a well-defined shape, but just sort of seems like a blob. It's generally better to stick with linear walls, although these can be diagonal (making sort of polygon shapes).

- The heavy wood frame around the (slate) rooves, like on this one, is an outdated practice, since it's a bit unrealistic and makes the rooves seem pretty top-heavy. Best to just make the rooves fully slate.

- The stall here has a bit of a weird shape to it, with the concave roof and all. I'd probably try to go with a more simple design.

- Also, in the same picture, I notice some sheds with oak walls and spruce rooves. I'd advise against mixing oak and spruce, since they contrast a bit too harshly. Try oak and jungle instead, or jungle and spruce.

- The well design here feels a bit bulky imo, with the piston extension supports and heavy roof. There are a few designs you can check out at /warp furnish that I prefer.

- Regarding windows, a few people have tried putting tables and stuff in them, but it generally hasn't caught on. In my opinion, the best thing is still to just have "empty" windows, i.e. just a hole with a shutter over it.

- If you have large areas of dirt/gravel that are looking flat, having a "blob" of mud where water would presumably collect can be a huge improvement.

Because your application build was so amazing, I'll put your app on the fast-track; I pretty much just want to see one challenge build so that I can look over a typical house+interiors in more detail. So for a challenge build, please make a middle-class tavern in the style of /warp duskendale (a currently WIP build). Make sure to take a look at the signs there and look for the example houses. And feel free to ask me if you have any questions. Good luck!

Thank you Emotione!

I would like to thank the promptness of your reply, I'm very happy now and glad you appreciate my application!
I will remember your advice and next time I won't make those building mistakes.

Looking forward for that challenge build, a tavern sounds good! I will be on the server for some time to examine the Duskendale style, then I will upload my screenshots here in a few days.

I think my first challenge build is ready to show, I attentively read every sign in Duskendale, they were very informative and I enjoyed the whole thing,
Codd and CashBanks were very kind and helpful too!
It was hard to design the layout and dimensions, because Duskendale is a large port-town with narrow streets and crowded plots, and a tavern needs a lot of floor area to be fully functioning.

This is a bit L-shaped, three-story tavern with steep gable and stone-stacked facades.
It has a large common hall with barkeeper stall and fireplace, a kitchen, storage and basement, and multiple private rooms.
Water supply should be soluble from Duskendale street wells, so I didn't built an own well.
The right-hand facade of the tavern is plain because another house should connect there.

Hey Zsomiking,

Once more, color me impressed! This is beautiful. I honestly don’t really have any feedback to give. It seems like you know what you’re doing, so I’ll approve you so you can go do more of it on the server. ^^

The next step is to contact a mod in-game to promote you to New Builder. The New Builder guide can be found here: http://westeroscraft.wikia.com/wiki/Newbie_guide
And also make a probation thread in the probation forum.

You can start building at any open locations on the server - you can find these at /warp build, although it's sometimes outdated, so I would also recommend just asking people in-game and checking the forums for recent project happenings. Duskendale, as I’m sure you saw, is pretty hot right now. You can also build at /warp playground in the Test world if you just wanna experiment with stuff.

A probie leader should post on your thread within a week or so, and help give constructive feedback on your houses for the next month, and help be your entrypoint into the server community in general (although as sometimes the probie leaders are busy IRL, I would also encourage you to seek feedback from project leaders and other builders/mods). At the end, you'll be made full builder, and then can start applying for projects.

Welcome to the team, I look forward to building with you! :D
