Wiki Wiki Submissions Guide

Hey all, as we're moving to a brand spanking new wiki, we'll be changing the way in which project info is added to it.

At the moment, only a handful of wiki managers have permission to edit the wiki, so we ask that project leaders complete a Wiki Article Submission Form, which can be accessed at any time by clicking on "Forms" in the navigation bar above. The resulting submission will then be added to the appropriate wiki page.

Some notes:

• We would like wiki pages to look a little something like this one for Bear Island. Nothing too fancy, so no need to spend hours on your submission. A brief, well-written summary is preferable to a long and exhaustive list of every detail.
• Please try and write in the third person. If English is not your first language you are welcome to submit your article in a language of your choice to be translated by the wiki team.
• The wiki team can provide images of the builds and links to related media, but feel free to add these to your submission as well.
• If you have completed an Immersion Build and would like to submit an article for it, you may do so and it will be appended to the wiki entry of the nearest Canon Project.

Basic Info

Description

• Lorn Point is located along the frozen shore, beyond the wall. Its location on the frozen shore is chosen for its long distance from the wall. But also, its relative closeness for a naval approach along the shore, which could justify its naming.
• A ranger named Redwyn, who lived during the reign of Dorren Stark King of the North. Made a great ranging to Lorn Point. He wrote this ranging which took from the Shadow Tower all the way to Lorn Point. On that ranging he and his company fought giants and traded with children of the forest.

• Aemon maester of Castle Black, wrote a letter to the Citadel, in the early reign of King Aegon V, where he told of Redwyns journey.

Features

• The lonely rock formation of Lorn Point.
  

Construction

• Lorn Point was made solely by the project lead, as a closed project, since it was relatively minor project. The immediate shores around Lorn Point was made as well.

Inspiration

• Trolltunga - A cliff in Norway.
• Old Man of Storr - Ilse of Skye, Scotland.

Basic Info

Description

• House Plumm is a fist men house, in the Westerlands.
• Their words are “Come try me”.
• Lord Ossifer Plumm married Princess Elaena Targaryen in 176 AC, during the reign of King Aegon IV Targaryen. But rumour has it he died before he could consummate the marriage. Yet somehow the Princess Elaena was with child, and it was believed that the father was King Aegon IV Targaryen. Leading to the saying that Lord Ossifer had a “cock six foot long”. The Plumms supported Tywin Lannister during the Tarbeck-Reyne rebellion, and participated in the war of the five kings.

Features

• /warp plumm) plumm castle.
• /warp plummham1) a hamlet with farmlands around.
• /warp plummham2) a hamlet bordering a forest.
• /warp plummhf a holdfast protecting an intersection.

Construction

• The project construction spanned over several years. The project was abandoned for a while, before halpaca picked it back up in March 2019. So parts became outdated while the project was a still work in progress. That let too halpaca having to update the outdated parts.
• Endymion helped halpaca completing the last bits of terra.

Inspiration

• The Westerlands in general are inspired by Italy.

ALSO MODS The /warp plummhf1 leads to nowhere, someone should remove it. And change /warp plummhf2 to plummhf. The HF I write of as plummhf is actually the current plummhf2

A quick note to say that if an Immersion Build leader would like to submit a wiki article for their build (with invented lore, features, contributors etc) they may do so and it will be appended to the wiki article of the nearest Canon Project.

Alright so we've got a new, and hopefully painless, way to submit wiki content!
Check out our new Wiki Article Submission Form which you can access by clicking "Forms" in the navigation bar above.
The filled out form will spit out a report that looks something like this, the content of which will then be added to the appropriate wiki page by a wiki manager.
