Approved Redo application: Ambrose

Introduction:
This is an application for permission to redo Ambrose and it's surrounding lands completely and totally. It is not a project application. If accepted, a formal application for the project will be posted in the forthcoming weeks. The redo will be applied for under clause C of the no-redo rule.
c) Abandoned Build Clause: If a build is incomplete and filed under the project orphanage as an abandoned build, it may be allowed to be redone. The intuition behind this clause is that it can be difficult to pick up someone else's outdated work, and if we expect people to do this very few people would want to apply to finish abandoned builds. However, moderators reserve the right to veto a redo for an abandoned build if they deem the existing portions to be particularly high quality.

Case:
Incomplete aspects and abandonment:

The majority of Ambrose is incomplete, and outdated style wise. It is a textbook case of clause c in the no redo rule. Over half (at least) of the project is incomplete, including the majority of the lands, a hamlet, castle interiors, and a town that still has build tags/unreviewed builds. The effort required to update the project as it is would be the same as redoing it completely, if not more, because you have to work around lots of outdated aspects in the planning and terraforming as well. The project is also listed in the projects list as F/N, meaning potential foster but can still be applied for normally. All in all, this perfectly fits the requirements of the no redo rule, and I will take utmost care to ensure the project is an excellent showing of quality and style if approved.

My ideas:
General plans: The project will be much smaller than current Ambrose overall, focusing more on the lands and aesthetics rather than quantity of houses and holdfasts. I plan to remove the town, and instead have a small village with a dock situated on the river. The lands will have lots of forests, and the hamlets and holdfasts will look very natural and integrate well with the landscape. I'd like the project to feel very quaint, natural, and stylish. Some good examples of these ideals are found at Uffering, Woodwright, and Westbrook.

Just a cute little castle, no reason for a big one really and there are alot of big castles in the vicinity of ambrose. Middle class houses would be rarely used, like I did at Harte.

Thanks for reading,

Hey Duck,

Sorry for the delay, but the mods have discussed Ambrose and decided that it's available for redo- the project is mostly unfinished and the parts which do exist are pretty below standards, so it falls under clause 1c of the rule. Please feel free to apply at your earliest convenience!
