Just downloaded client but can't join the server?

I just downloaded the client and launched minecraft through it but when then it says; Failed to login: Invalid session (Try restarting your game).
Please help.

Please check out our support forum, you should also try to log in with email and password. I’ve also moved this into the support forum

Restart the game. If it still doesn't work, log out and back into your account then launch again. You can do that from the settings window.
