What is your age?
17-20

In what country are you living?
The Netherlands

Where did you first hear about WesterosCraft?
Don't Remember

What do you like the most about GoT/ASoIaF?
The thing i love the most about GoT is the world itself. I like how varied it is, on the one hand you have the North and its very "normal" medieval setting and on the other hand you have the wierd shit that happens in the far east of Essos. I am also a huge history buff so all the castles and knights are also very interesting to me.

What is your favorite build on our server?
I absolutely love Highgarden because it looks both beatifull and impregnable. I also like how all the center buildings integrate to create one giant fortress.

Why do you want to join our server?
To help built one of my favorite fantasy worlds. I am not very good at designing a unique style, but I do think i am very good at using a present style to create something that fits withing that style but is also unique. For example, building a small castle by looking at others and using the same elements like wall style, towers and such.

Did you follow the application rules?

Hey Jefi! Nice work with the app house! I see no major issues with it, though I can't see much of it either hahahaha, I would appreciate some more pics, specially the front of the house with its yard. If you don't mind you can post them here on this thread alongside your next build.

In any case, with this build we hope you catched some of the techniques and ways we have of building here. Now your task will be to build other houses in the style of different locations in our server, but this time instead of copying you will have to come up with a design of your own based on the characteristics of the area we tell you.

Your next challenge will be to build a house in the style of /warp Hammerhal, with a yard. Once you are done you can upload some screenshots here and I will evaluate them as soon as I can. Have fun!

Looking at the extra pics you uploaded, I see no issues with the app house, as I imagined (seems like you missed a window though hehehe). Regarding your new build, nice job Jefi! Love that you gave it a small backstory, makes the building experience more interesting while also giving character to it. Now I will give you some feedback, mostly minor detailing things:
  • When doing stone yard walls try to make them more smooth instead of having many jagged edges. What I mean by that is that you should alternate slabs and no slabs on longer strips, so it looks slightly uneven, but not too chaotic.
  • For clothelines is best if you use fence posts (bark is what I usually preffer) instead of walls, they can look a bit too chunky and overkill.
  • At the outside you got pine needles, mud, gravel and dirt as the floor options. When doing dirt floors is best if you try to gradient the blocks instead of randomly spreading them. Here you can look at an example of what I mean, more complex than what you did obviously, You wouln't need to add as many blocks as here for your gradient:

  • Interiors are quite nice! I like the addition of a wooden beam for more support. I would use regular wattle fence rather than dark wattle, it clashes a bit with the rest of the build colouring. Also in my opinion the shelving you added for bread and flour is a bit big for the size of the house. Regardless, whenever you do more like it you can add a half door block where they touch a wall to give the illusion of a complete shelve unit:

  • One last thing: Although the style you chose for the house is common in Hammerhal I would've prefered if you made something a bit less similar to the app house. Even then you made your build different enough in other aspects, so don't worry too much about it.
Overall as I said nice job! These comments may seem like a lot, but most are small things that you would not think about in very little. For your next challenge go to /warp OAtown and build a house with a profession and a yard. Good luck and have fun!
