Can't change RAM in Launcher

OS: Windows 7
Launcher Version: Version 1.6.0
Issue: Can't change the RAM memory in the launcher.
Explanation: I tried changing my memory up to 3GB on the max and minimum but it doesn't work neither can I lower them to 1GB just for testing. My installed RAM is 4GB on my pc itself. I tried googling to get more RAM but that didn't help either.

If you have a solution please let me know.

You simply don't have more RAM available, as running your system already consumes a good chunk of it.

4GB RAM is nothing nowadays, you should look into upgrading.
