Request: Horizontal 6 Sided logs

Try to describe all workarounds and associated issues that make it necessary to add this block in your eyes.
6 sided logs currently have a vertical log side texture, which make diagonals look a little odd.
The alternative is using the classic logs on their side, but then you have the cut edges visible, which also looks a little odd
So I'm thinking we get the best of both worlds, combining the horizontal side texture of the classic log, with the bark end cap of the 6 sided log. This could be done with a dedicated horizontal 6 sided log, or one that can be interchangeable depending on how it's placed (so classic log with a bark end cap).
Imagine this would be useful for ships in KL/Arbor/OT as well as dock cranes etc. I think the change would be subtle enough not to grievously out date anything.
