Request: Hanging roots and variants

Try to describe all workarounds and associated issues that make it necessary to add this block in your eyes.
In vanilla Minecraft 1.17, they added a hanging root block for the roof of caves.
It would be nice to retexture the current 16x16 hanging root block, and perhaps add some variants for all the tree types. At the very least a weirwood root variant
