Try to describe all workarounds and associated issues that make it necessary to add this block in your eyes.
Basically I think it could be a nice addition having a brown version, same colour as our big size pots (the retextured end portals), of the pewter flagon/glass flagon. It could work as a cooking pot or a small ceramic vessel. If placed on top of endstone it would look kinda like an amphora (though I'm not opposed to a big curvy ceramic vessel addition hehehe).
