The Spring 2023 edition of The Rookery is now out! Take a look to see the latest builds, guides, progress and development updates on the upcoming 1.18.2 switch. You can read it here:
So, when looking at the app, the central forest area doesn't make the most sense to me as that is where there'd be some pretty good farmland. This would have been cleared long ago as it is close to the Rowan river. What I'd suggest would be to make it look like there was a forest there, but its...
Hey to you both!
While I've worked a lot with Crispen on this inn, I do prefer the design done by Alex and WRMD. It was a close pick between the two and there are still some things which I think Crispen's does right that could be fixed in the Alex and WRMD version.
Love the ground floor and the...
When reviewing the placement of the old roads in situ, I realised that the current road to ryger makes little sense to be so large, if to exist at all. It essentially functions to place a T intersection further inland at the moment.
Imo this is unnecessary and it would work far better for...
A potential fix is to have slab water level from OT all the way to Hammerhal. The terrain at honeyholt would be a relatively easy fix since the old build isn't too detailed when it comes to the topography. Hammerhal however is very well thought out and would likely require a lot more changing...
Going to update this message to address Johnyz post but for the moment there's something I wanted to do with the project that initially was impossible.
EDIT:
Johnyz, I've realised now looking again at your tests that perhaps the building you are testing for would be best to be the bunkroom...
Thanks for the reply Noah
I intended to remove that mention of moving the castle/replacing it with a simple lighthouse, it was part of another idea that it the end didn't work so I edited out. Sorry for causing alarm there. The intention was not to force a complete about-face on your creative...
OK so from my understanding, the only inhabited structures planned are the smugglers' den in the ruined castle and the trappers' lodge.
Considering the remoteness of the entirety of Cracklaw, why not have a surviving settlement somewhere? It can be presumed that the Cracklaw people are fiercely...
This is the opposite of what I was saying with the wooden beam. it needed to be higher, not lower. and thats the height the 2nd floor should be on too.
Hi JohnyzMielony,
Nice work on the workshop! I think there's still a few things that could be improved.
When it comes to the facades, have a look at front of Fernweh's house. That is a really good example of how to make the timber framing patterns that work in the area.
the upper storey should...
Heya May! Your plans hold up well!
When it comes to the house tests I do believe they could be fixed up a little. Imo, if you extended them a bit longer, in some cases double the length of those plots in the imgur images and played around with the new timber frames we have it could be a really...
For the North Eastern quadrant next to varner you could continue that grassland a but more, so there's not a gap between varner new barrel and ambrose. Can just be sold meadows, doesn't have to be used or peopled. Jakethesnake8_8 might have some tools and tips, especially if old scripts can be...
If pinecones could be similar to the candle block or kettle block that'd be cool, rather than a flat block.
love the idea of fallen seeds, nuts and leaves.
fallen sycamore seeds would be cool, though I think they would get used as a multi-purpose block. I can see them being used in chicken pens...
from what theon reports, they haven't recovered well after the Greyjoy Rebellion and Balon mocks Theon for wearing a fresh doublet with the Greyjoy colours.
