Description
House Sweet is located in the Northern Stormlands at the border of the Crownlands next to the Kingswood. As the rival of House Sunglass, for the last port that is unaffected by storms, before Storms End, the two houses got into a trade war that raged from before 260 AC till 270 AC. With House Sweet losing the war they lost most of their wealth and power over the region. The effects can be seen in there castle next to the main porttown which in partially ruined, or that a bandit lord from the Kingswood occupied a abandoned village in the northern woods of Sweet. Nowadays Sweet makes most of their money from selling fish and Berries.
Features
There is a lighthouse on the tip of the peninsular east of the maintown where the Castle is located. (/warp Sweet) Northwest of the maintown a small village with a boatmaker can be found. (/warp SweetHam2) If you follow the road heading west, leading into the forest you will find the abandoned village that is being occupied by bandits. (/warp sweetbanditham)
Construction
With the project being very old worldpainter terrain in the beginning, I had to start from absolute 0. On the one hand it left me absolute freedom, on the other hand i needed some help with finding a new style for the area since it is my first project. After clearing the area i started with the rough terrain layout. After finishing the rough terrain i just worked my way from the Peninsular inland and finished Hams and Holdfasts on the way.
Inspiration
House Sweet was mostly inspired by slavic architecture that are located in the Balkans, but mainly Slovenia and northern Ukraine. In the later stages the game Kingdome Come Deliverance also had a big impact.
(Funfact: The banner of House Sweet is coloured by the juices of Blue and Raspberries.)
