Description
House Ambrose is a noble house from the Reach. Their coat of arms is a yellow field strewn with red ants. Their words are "Never Resting". House Ambrose was a vassal of House Manderly and later of House Peake. After the Peake uprising, House Ambrose became a vassal of House Tyrell, with whom they have family ties. At the beginning of the War of the Five Kings, they expressed their support for Renly Baratheon.
Features
The lands of House Ambrose are relatively modest, stretching from the Mander River to the hills bordering House Varner's territory. A portion of their land also encroaches upon the hunting grounds of House Rowan. The region features extensive woodlands, providing forest game and timber. The Rose Road, a vital artery connecting King's Landing and Highgarden, traverses their lands. The fortified seat of House Ambrose is strategically situated along the Rose Road, near which lies the main village. The primary economic activities of the region include crop cultivation, the production of rose and lavender oils, brickmaking, and fishing. The territory also encompasses a small septry and several minor villages.
Construction
The construction of House Ambrose's lands began in late August, with the project divided into three main sections: the central section with the main village and fortified seat, the northern section on the borders, and the southern section with the septry. Firstly, the terrain and river were modified, the fortified seat and the main village were constructed, and the fields, orchards, and flower fields were laid out. Subsequently, the construction of the northern section of the project continued, where it was necessary to modify the terrain to create hills and rivers. The construction of a small village and an adjacent tower followed. Finally, a forest was created. The southern section was completed last, where it was also necessary to modify the terrain and lay out rivers, build a village, and plan and construct a septry with adjacent fields and a hop field. Finally, the banks of the Mander River were modified, and a cemetery was built.
Inspiration
The lands of House Ambrose are inspired primarily by the central region of France, and the areas of Orléans and Blois.
