Request: Icicle/Icy vine and duckweed block

Try to describe all workarounds and associated issues that make it necessary to add this block in your eyes.
By having a moss-like block and duckweed-like block that depicted ice clinging to surfaces or hoarfrost, we could more easily create permafrost, frozen paths, frozen damp stone walls ice cellars in a myriad of other ways. This would help create a more immersive North to Westeros.
We could have morning frosts in some places, frozen puddles and ponds and 'black ice' - the incredibly thin layer of ice that forms and is near invisible - covering the Last River. More importantly, it would allow us to place signs of time on tents in the far north, as well as indicate wind direction in derelict areas of the north.
It could also help indicate snow blown into small spaces. Snow layer gradient then becoming the duckweed like block stretching out for 1-2 blocks around the snow layer.
This could then also be used for depicting salt and, more interestingly (imo), freshly shorn wool.
