The Spring 2023 edition of The Rookery is now out! Take a look to see the latest builds, guides, progress and development updates on the upcoming 1.18.2 switch. You can read it here:
I don't think I specifically mentioned Bran, but maybe someone else did.
The main issue with Bolling castle to me rn is its bridge and its gradient. The execution of the ints could be better as well, as the main towers have large empty pockets and many small, monotonous bedchambers. With new...
I do mean barns inside the houses! These might be separated by partitions of wattle or halfdoor but they're still part of the same rough heated space. Yes, there can be annexes, adjoining sheds etc but in the end they should be roughly under the same roof and sharing body heat.
I'm glad you...
I'm not a fan of CTMing fireplaces like that. As you've stated, 2 block wide and 2 block tall fireplaces are already created using other blocks quite easily and there's no need to outdate those.
Also, usually where two furnaces are placed beside each other, its where there is need for cooking...
I'm liking this, it would make sense for most uses of mugs in dorne and similar to wanting to have sausages in the north there could be a singular block of another terrain to make them wooden.
I thought I put together a request similar to this a while ago but it seems I've been quite forgetful. I was going to suggest a block and wall set with the firewood texture but with the smaller logs that make up the block continuing for its full length, meaning that you could stack 2+ together...
Absolutely love this idea and I think most of the community would too! hollow furnaces would be such a great immersion tool and would make rooms feel that little bit larger! I love this!
Based on Jake's information about Tyrion's route and Ravish's map, the dwarf would have found the body almost outside the red keep's gates. We'd also need to remake the hill slope to be shallower on the northern side than it is currently to support a road I think if the road were to follow the...
Thanks Scub and Azulejo!
The Hyderabad rocks are stunning and while I'd love to do something like them, it might be best to do them further east, closer to harvest hall where there's more indications of volcanic activity like the presence of large quantities of basalt (Blackhaven is built of...
Trees in the valleys and grassy tops is exactly what I was thinking originally for the grasslands! I had a great image on my old computer taken in Segovia but I have no idea where it is now that demonstrated what you're roughly suggesting.
It'd be entirely possible to work out some new tests...
Nice work JJ! I've got a little bit of feedback which is to change the two bottom left buildings to be either next to each other or for the bottom right larger house to be tilted so its parallel to the road (turned 90d). Also, only other thing I'd like to note is to try and make each house have...
Hi Guilix and Flip,
Sorry for the lack of movement on this app! I've been looking a bit more into this application and the earlier approved application for Bourney by bobbycatfisher.
I'd like to see a more detailed map that potentially includes the vague plotting ideas for the settlements...
Heya Nicodemus,
As I think I said to you in game ages ago, the castle is looking really good and I love the motte and bailey tests for Chambers! I particularly like the potential for a small settlement in the outer bailey.
Would you be able to work out a new map with the ridgeline suggested?
Currently we have a tapestry maker on the eastern side of the dragonsquare, so it would perhaps make more sense for the street of looms to be in the northern/north western part of that red area.
could fences maybe look a bit more like the vertical beam in the piston? or have a colour that closer to that? it would then look good in when connected to mechanisms etc using pistons.
A potential solution to the fence gate issue is for the horizontal beams to have the old look to them so that...
A note on that stream, I suggest making a retaining wall at some point along it and damming the stream so you can have an overshot wheel. There's a brilliant example of a stamp mill and overshot wheel at red lake north east of the logging camp (rllumberjack).
what I would love to have in the Stormlands is perry and perry pears. Perry is a pear cider and the trees in the UK were historically allowed to grow quite large in their orchards and produced quite high yields. Though an exceptional example, the Holme Lacy tree produced 5 tonnes of fruit in...
