The Spring 2023 edition of The Rookery is now out! Take a look to see the latest builds, guides, progress and development updates on the upcoming 1.18.2 switch. You can read it here:
I’d rather that the transition took place north of established grey projects like Redlake and instead followed roughly from southern crakehall and the peninsula south of it, through durwell (maybe conklyn) to cornfield, plum, turnbwrry, Falwell, rather than changing the existing redlake, which...
Just some feedback for the holdfast test
The gradient could use more of a pattern to it. For instance, light stone seems to touch small stone brick, smooth stone brick, dark cobble and river cobble. It would be better to arrange it so that these are separated so that 1 block only touches 2...
Approved by me if the Gift hamlet is finished up.
I'd also like to check over plotting of the village and castle before they get built, just so I can give some feedback and tips early on.
Goodluck with Lorch! I hope to see this beautiful patch of the Torrentine added to the stretch of...
Same kind of deal as with Batel and Foote, I'm fine to teach you tools and show you how to create some landforms etc but I simply don't have time to do the majority of the terrain. In terms of style for terrain, Pixeld's work at Wyndhall is brilliant stuff for the Tumblestone valley that you...
White Grapes are unsatisfactory as a replacement as the Jungle leaves are quite unlike gooseberry. Gooseberry and white cherries, even hazelnut possibly, could all use the same block if Olive were changed to a new texture, and the old version reused, or modified slightly as the mentioned berries...
Loving the new map! Maybe the stream and pond near Nunns Deep could have a overshot waterwheel connected to bellows of a refinery, or something similar? Or just crushing ore perhaps?
The upper valley in the hills looks v cool too. Nice work
The house update is looking very fly. Only thing I can think of is to also give the daub pattern a little revamp as well, perhaps a bit more verticality to the structures.
Just a few recommendations with sheep farming, it would be good to have a wooden or stone platform, something easily cleaneable as the spot where shearing is done. Fleeces are a bugger to clean and to have hold together, so its best to do the shearing on a clean spot. I've always worked on...
I've made some markers at the warp to show you roughly where I was thinking. It'd give it a much better view of the surrounding terrain without being perched on the peak.
One can still use much of the current terrain and adding in more cinque-terra and Genoa like mountains, particularly at the eastern side. Its simply a matter of figuring out where they would work best where in the project.
On the note about fjords, we don't have enough room to do n-s running...
Alright so I've got some feedback, mostly on Evenfall Hall itself.
Having Evenfall on the westernmost point makes complete sense, it would allow the castle to be painted by the setting sun. However, considering the prevalence of high calcium stone and benefits of lime washing, wouldn't it sense...
Heya so my point on the terra is that with the Rainwood to 'broad plain' ratio on Cape Wrath, what would make sense is to give a corner of bolling over to a 'forested plain' area in between denser rainforest and the grasslands.
This would act as a transition between the coastal plain and...
