The Spring 2023 edition of The Rookery is now out! Take a look to see the latest builds, guides, progress and development updates on the upcoming 1.18.2 switch. You can read it here:
I think a very important aspect of flea bottom "reeking of poverty" needs to be the street floors and pathways which should be covered in mud, dirt blocks and thatch, to show that the streets literally flow with shit. I also think the plotting needs to be super chaotic as well to add to the slum...
I had a recent thought that I guess would come under neck terra (or possibly the cailin project). Before the red Wedding Robb planned to send the northmen around the back of moat cailin with the guide of the reeds/craggonmen. It might be quite cool to have a very hidden pathway from further...
I'd love to join the rivers/canals team.
I've worked on a few minis and larger special plots, but I managed to re-join the server at a time when there are a lack of minis. So I guess this would fill that void for me.
if you need any more info or anything lemme know :)
It could maybe be an idea to reach out to some wider Minecraft communities/youtubers/streamers etc. This would help bring it to a further audience and maybe get more people involved in the event?
I know took a break from westeroscraft around the time we started getting somewhere with the winery, however I can still finish the test for you to check out as I've recently come back to the server.
Hey just a random thought, what about adding some camp style housing around the ruined HF or keep. Maybe belonging to wildlings which have already fled from beyond the wall or just very poor peasants/travelers?
Okay... So after a week or so trying to get into the project me and cc are struggling to be motivated to work on this project, along with me, cc and simba not often being around at the same time to get feedback. I think it's best for us to step down from the mini and allow someone with more...
I've always wondered about stack-able thatch layers like snow, but again it might out-date all thatch on the server?
I've also mentioned before that maybe we could add a black soot overlay to be placed onto bricks around forges and large fires ect?
I think the overall thought we had was to have a smallish warehouse with mostly linen but some wool. As if you're someone who trades linen then being so close to white harbor would also allow you to dabble in wool.
Ooh yeh I like the idea of that. We could have warehouses stocked with large sheets and not just smaller rolls to be used for clothes. (If of course Simb is in favor :) )
Me and CC have started a test for the Linen production area at /warp alec. Its currently mostly plotted (excluding flax fields) and also has some building facade tests. feel free to leave some feedback! :)
