I'd recommend having a heart tree (could have a segment of northern carving on a non-weirwood tree. It'd be fun to have more non-weirwood heart trees) rather than a shrine. It'd help distinguish worshippers of the Old Gods south of the wall from the Free Folk crab worshippers north of the wall...

Castles wouldn't need to be changed really imo. Mostly they're near the river which would be much more homogenised. Its house style that would be good. Imo, Lolliston doesn't need to change, there's enough space that could have a lusatian style.

What I was suggesting would be opening up some of the terrain between the lake and the Rowan river and carving a passage through, similar to how Belleglen's valley functions. I'd be completely fine with a stream going through unfinished terrain between Falwell and Ivyhall.
