    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

So I've been thinking about adding a dedicated flowstone/ stalacmite block. Stalactites are wholly different beasts and I think best added as a either cobbweb style block AND/OR possibly a smooth full block/ wall and fence.

    Thamus' Texture Treasure Trove

I'll refer you to Emote for that. This is predominantly my test pack. Unfortunately, I don't really have nor do I necessarily want to spend time on making it suit production use. For me it's paramount to keep a fast development cycle and switching out my dev textures every time I release an...

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

There you are, Mr. Mittens!!! I've been looking for him since forever! Yup! Although the overlay for some terrainsets is still not updated to reflect their newest hue! (Will fix that asap!)

    Thamus' Texture Treasure Trove

Cheeky update: - replaces all Ores and makes them blend with all terrainsets (except for river and ocean) See my post here for a visually enticing changelog! https://www.dropbox.com/s/qq5kve3y5646hx5/Overlay.zip?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/7i6mqk7fznep3f4/ThamCraft.zip?dl=0

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

I tried my hand at this today: Coal: Based on: Galena, primary components are lead and sulphur but it is a commercial source of silver (made up of around 2% silver): Based on the gray stuff: Cassiterite the primary source of Tin! based on this image, which contains a discrete quartz vein...

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

Hey hey :D The biome colormaps you pulled up are the result of years of careful tweaking not exactly a new frontier at least for Emote and I. They are a powerful resource but developing them is tedious since fine grained changes can mess up a region big time, and, because you don’t see changes...

    Thamus' Texture Treasure Trove

Another update! - adds alt block for the Stormlands TS - adjusts the overlay blending between the sets - adds biome shading for the Dorne TS and the Red Mountains TS - adds a moss block prototype Known bugs: The overlay from the Stormlands TS is shaded which gives that an orange tinge. Will fix...

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

For dry blanket moss like that, I want to add an all moss block! That way you get to chose where the moss grows on the rock and we get to keep a dedicated river rock texture or open the slot for an additional alt set?

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

It's supposed to be this submerged or wet, slippery rock around creeks and rivers. So there's some slime and moss growing on it. It was never meant as a large scale cliff or dry boulder texture. Hence, I put it on the River Rock terrainset.

    Westeroscraft Texture Pack Megathread

No, I haven't but I think I will put that on hold until the situation has been worked out. I tried to go back to the old forum to figure out the thought process behind the use of brown stone but far as I can tell there isn't a canonical, historic-cultural, or natural reason why they are that...

    TerrainSet Stair/Slab/Wall/Fence Variants

I don’t think adding block to specifically improve transitions isn’t too necessary. The latest batch is designed so that we get the following network of smooth transitions out of the box: [Westerlands, Reach] > Eyrie > Eastern > Iron > North > Lava Westerlands > Dorne > Red Mountains [Eastern...

    TerrainSet Stair/Slab/Wall/Fence Variants

I'll take a closer look at this, and my process will roughly be this: - Assign the textures I have already made to visually similar rock-types from the map dutch posted - Make new textures for whatever I have missed, based on pictures of what that rock looks like on the surface in England (and...

    TerrainSet Stair/Slab/Wall/Fence Variants

Geology makes my head spin. For me as a texture artist, I need to know what the object I need to represent looks like both on a macro level (cracks and fissures), micro level (patterning of the rock), and color. Alas, with rocks the color and micro level texture depend on a) Relative amount and...
